Garden of giants

chapter 4: confusion - by sylvia

With dizzy eyes, I couldn't help but watch as the orange bulb had forced itself into my mouth. I tried my hardest to push it out, but my weakened state stood no chance against it. Despite all my struggling, the fatigue had caught up to me and I began to surrender to it and relax. As my jaw loosened, I could feel the bulb expanding to take the form of my mouth, making my cheeks puff up and bulge out to create more room.

'How did it come to this?' I thought to myself. 'Is this really what awaits the naive, unsuspecting adventurer? Was I not ready for the world that exists outside my village?' Whatever it was, I knew I was in trouble and Cailan was likely in no position to save me. He could be dead for all I knew and I was helpless to whatever this terrible tree was going to do to me. I was able to find some solace in my hopelessness however, as I figured there was nothing more I could do on my own to escape this prison. Besides, with how tired I felt and how tight the vines were grasping me, I had not even the energy to feel anxious. All I could hope for was little to no pain in whatever awaited me.

I began to doze off when I felt the bulb start to contract and move. I looked around and began to panic. Before long, I could feel the bulb start to fill my mouth with a thick, sweet, juice that tasted like the the fruit I had so foolishly eaten earlier. I tried to yell out of desperation, but all I could muster up to come through were short, desperate moans for help in between each gulp. I continued to try and wriggle free, but every struggle I made caused the vines to squeeze me even harder until I relaxed myself. It had made me fully submissive to the growth of vines as it pumped me more full with the thick fluid.

After a few moments, I was ashamed to admit the fact that I was actually starting to enjoy being fed whatever delicious stuff was being forced into me. With each gulp, I became more intoxicated by the warmth and sensation it brought to my fatigued body. Getting past the initial shock, I couldn't deny how much I was savoring it. The taste was unlike anything I had ever experienced before and all I wanted was more. I had become so absorbed by the feeling of it rushing down my throat that I started to greedily suck even more of it down. I could feel my stomach stretch and grow rounder and fuller but I didn't stop. I couldn't stop. Every gulp filled me with an overwhelming feeling of extacy and desire for more.

While I don't know for sure, it must have been minutes of me mindlessly filling myself while being completely oblivious to how full I was getting. I started to snap out of it when the bulb stopped and pulled itself out of my mouth, leaving a thick string of juice and saliva that connected to my lips.

While majorly disoriented, I began to realize what had happened to me and started to feel completely stuffed. I couldn't move a single muscle without becoming overwhelmingly uncomfortable so I became completely motionless. The real aftermath could only truly be seen around my swolen middle. I leaned my head slightly forward and looked down to see just past the horizon from my breasts. My stomach had swelled to produce a pronounced bulge through my tunic as the strings holding it strained to keep together. While breathless, I noticed the vines beginning to twist and move, making their way to my now rounded abdomen. With very little effort, they untied my tunic and out popped my overly distended gut. The sudden release from the tunic made me moan and let out one large burp which I felt absolutely disgusting for.

"Please, w-why are you doing this?" I said while fighting back the drunkenness. "I wanna... *buurp* go homee..."

I started to trail off when I heard a deep voice in my head that said, "Sleep... Rest..." And with that, I simply did what I was asked. I didn't try to fight it anymore. Whatever happens to me, I just hope there is more bulb juice.

I am always happy to find a new fantasy story on this site.

I was a little surprised by the switch between 3rd person and 1st person between chapters, but your prose is good, and the foreshadowing during the ruin exploration was clever.
