Chapter 9 She Goes Home (Part 2)

After exchanging with doubtful glances with Ally, Marcy started the process of getting in the car. It went as one might imagine when a woman, closing in on 700 pounds, tries to squeeze into a car as small as her 2022 Honda Civic. For some reason, she tried to get in without doing anything to the car. Any sign of hope was shattered when her body wouldn’t budge after only a fourth of her body made it in. She didn’t notice this, but even though she was barely in the car, it quietly sunk towards the ground. Wobbling back out, she sized up the car. This time, she adjusted the car. She tried to bend over to push the seat back and recline it a decent amount, but it proved to be a chore in itself. Eventually, after several grunts and groans of exhaustion, the seat was adjusted. She tried shoving herself in… this time she made it in ca little more than halfway, but it was still VERY tight. This time, the car sunk so low to the ground, it was a shock it didn’t make contact. Her thighs and hips flowed onto the center console and stuck out of the car. There was no way the door would be closing. Her belly pressed the horn as it pretty much ate the steering wheel. Since it was pushed back, Marcy’s belly pushed her chest into her face, covering a majority of her vision. As if she thought it was good enough, she tried to reach the wheel, but ultimately failed. She was quite uncomfortable. Again, the attempt was in vain. Again, Marcy decompressed out of the car. It was as much of a struggle as getting in. Hissing in relief, the car rose back to its normal height. “Oh, stop being dramatic!” Marcy said… to her car, as if it was in the wrong.

For Ally and Bob, it was like watching a sausage trying to fit into its casing. “I don’t want to be rude, but… Maybe you’re too big for it, darlin’? I’m sure we could give you a bigger one.” Marcy knew the car was too small for driving, but actually hearing someone else point it out sparked a flame of determination almost as big as her. “No, I’ve got this! I’m not too fat for my own car! I can’t be!!” Marcy exclaimed in response as she leaned into her car to move the steering wheel up all the way and recline the seat back even further.

“That ought to do it.” Marcy said to herself as she, once again, stuffed herself into the car as it creaked and groaned to Ally and Bob for help due to the added weight. “HELL YEAH!” She had done it… well, kind of. She was in the car, but she managed to get stuck… literally. Her movement was VERY limited. She wouldn’t be getting out easily any time soon… but she was in the damn thing. Now, the matter of closing the door. How was she going to do it? She didn’t know. All she could do was stare at the door while thinking up a plan. Huffing in embarrassment, Marcy asked Bob to help her with the door. “I’ll admit it… I’m too wide. Buuuttt, I’m stuck, so we gotta shut this door…” she said as Bob walked over to the door. “Can you lean to the side?” he asked Marcy, looking at the mostly covered center console. Come to think of it, she didn’t know. “I-I can try… no promises, though.” She then attempted to lean towards the other side of the car, but that only gave a few inches of extra space. Luckily, her body was plush, which made it easy to manipulate her fat. So, since she couldn’t reach across her body, she used her plump left hand to pull her thigh fat towards her. Even though her hand and part of her arm sunk into her side, she managed to give Bob even more space. “I can’t hold it for long… Hurry?!” Marcy said as she felt her fat returning to its natural position, slowly filling the empty space back up. She hadn’t really felt herself since she got this fat, but she felt like a sack of starch, just flowing everywhere, filling up almost every space around her. “3… 2… 1! PULL!” Bob exclaimed as he rushed into the car door with the force of a Semi-Truck. “PULLING!” Marcy readjusted her arm to grab more fat to pull inwards as Bob slammed into the car. She didn’t think he’d get in the first time, but when she felt herself completely compress into her car, she knew it was a success.

“Oh, thank GOD!! See? I’m not too fat… heh…” Marcy said, after her fat stopped sloshing around and the car stopped shaking. “I’d reckon you get a bigger one when you git home… It’d like that, I think.” Bob said, only slightly joking. Marcy looked around her… well, past her own body. There really wasn’t much room left. The seat was pushed and reclined to maximum and the steering wheel was as far back as it could go, but that didn’t stop her body from pressing tightly against every inch of it. “You sure you don’t want a snack for the road? As a parting gift? You look exhausted.” Ally said, hoping the answer would be different. “Ally… if I’m one cupcake away from bursting out of my clothes AND MY DAMN CAR! As much as I WANT one, I’m going to have to reject.” Marcy said in a joking manner, hiding the realization. “Before I leave, I’d like to thank you both. Despite… all of THIS… this past week has been the best time of my life. I needed a break from reality… so thank you. Truly!” Holding back most of his emotion, Bob just nodded his head, returning the thanks. Marcy’s gratitude, despite everything, made Ally tear up. After all, over the last week, her and Bob really formed a bond with her. “Oh, there’s no need to thank us, sweetie! You’ve been a blessin’ to have around… We’re sorry you got so… well, round… during your stay. Just remember, you’re always able to come back here anytime! You don’t need an invitation. EVER!” Marcy thanked Ally again, ignoring the statement about the shape of her body.

“You good to drive?” Bob asked, gesturing towards the steering wheel. Confused, Marcy looked at the steering wheel. “Why wouldn’t I be able to?” she said, reaching for the wheel. “O-oh… THAT’S why…” after discovering that she couldn’t reach the wheel, she just stared at it. That’s when she came up with a pretty embarrassing idea. If she readjusted, her belly would press against the horn, so seatbelts weren’t needed. However, if she could just move her belly fat around, so the wheel was firmly pressed against it without setting the horn off, she might be able to drive it. It wouldn’t necessarily be safe, but she was fat enough for it to be possible, and it was the only option she had. “I got this!” Sinking her hands up into her belly, Marcy started shifting her fat around, prodding, and kneading it like a lump of dough. With a few tries, she managed to get it how she wanted it. If she moved slightly to the right, the wheel would turn left, and vice versa. It was almost like a cartoon. It wasn’t the most comfortable of positions, but she could manage. “Well, would ya look at that! Ain’t somethin’ you see every day, now, is it?” Ally wasn’t too thrilled with the idea of Marcy driving home with her BELLY, but she wasn’t going to force her to stay, especially since Marcy had just gone through all of that just to enter her car.

“Alright, I think I’m all set!” Marcy said, finally coming to a somewhat comfortable position. The three of them exchanged hugs before Marcy left. Well, they were more Ally and Bob wrapping their arms around Marcy’s thick neck while she patted their forearms and tilted her head their way. “Alright, for real this time. Goodbye!... wait… can someone press the start button?” Ally leaned into the car and pushed the small red button that read “Push to Start|Stop” next to the steering wheel. “Alright, I’ll see ya later! Maybe!” Marcy said, forcing the transmission stick into her fat thigh to drive. With that, the journey home was started.

“I really didn’t want to leave, but I also want to stay mobile.” Marcy reassured herself once she was out of the yard. So far, she had decent control of the car's steering. All was going great. “I might have some service. I should call mom.” she thought to herself before activating Siri, instructing her to call her mom. “OH MY GOD, Marce! Are you okay?! I wasn’t able to get a hold of you for the whole week!! Where’d you go! Why didn’t you answer!?” Before continuing, Marcy spent several minutes reassuring her mother that everything was fine. “I texted you on Sunday that I broke down and had to spend a few days without service at a mechanic's cabin. I guess it didn’t go through.” Her mother briefly went quiet. “Well, we’re glad you’re okay… How was it?” The question caused a flurry of memories from the cabin to flood Marcy’s mind. “Oh, it was great! I learned so much! But…” With concern reentered, her mother's said, “Oh, what happened?!” Marcy looked down, and around, at her body taking up so much space. “Well… Let’s just say, I’m coming home a changed woman with a clearer view on life? You’ll see when I get back. Nothing too bad though! Don’t worry.” She was really saying this to help herself cope, but it was good enough for her mother. After all, she was just happy Marcy wasn’t dead, been kidnapped, or worse.

Not really wanting to talk about it, Marcy changed the subject. “So, how have you and mom been?” Understandably, her mother said she’d been worried sick about Marcy, but that they were able to cope enough. “Your mother and I can’t wait till you’re actu- Ma’am! Can you hear me!” Her mother’s voice was replaced by another woman yelling. Marcy thought the radio was acting up when the voice said something else. “Bill, get the oxygen over here!” followed by a faint, muffled response in a deeper voice. Succeeding the voices, a flash similar to the one Marcy experienced a little while ago, came across her vision, along with a rush of oddly fresh air being shoved through her nose. “Hey, she’s coming to!” The unnamed woman said “thank god.” under her breath before continuing. “Ma’am? My name is Allison. I’m with th- stay with me, now! My name is Allison, I’m with the Wheaten County Fire Department!” Marcy’s environment went from driving down a countryside road inside her car, to a dark road only lit by flashing red and blue lights. She looked slightly up, and sure enough, there was the same sky from the previous “event.” This time, with the added lights, people, and cracked windshield. “Wh-What? W-who…” Her vision was still fading in and out, though, this time she didn't return to her car, it just went black. “Shit!... Carol! Grab the jaws of life! Violet, Daryl! Grab the stretcher! We gotta get her out!”

When Marcy finally came to, her vision and mind started to clear. “Hey! She’s back!” Capt. Allison shouted. “Ma’am? What’s your name?” Marcy, still getting out of a dazed state, said “M-Marcy… Marcy Knight…” Letting Marcy gain more consciousness, Capt. Allison started again. “Hey, Marcy? How many fingers am I holding up?” She was holding three up, so Marcy said “Three”, then “Wh-Where am I?” Capt. Allison nodded in assurance as she explained. “Marcy, you were in an accident. According to witnesses, you lost control, swerved into Mr. Cooper and rolled into the ditch over there. Thankfully, you’re okay, but we had to pry you out.” She explained, while pointing out Marcy’s totaled car, Mr. Cooper, and his Semi-Truck as she told Marcy everything she knew. “Is she okay? Oh, god! I’m sorry! I could barely see you! Oh, I’m sorry!” said the man Marcy guessed was Mr. Cooper said as he was escorted away by another paramedic. Marcy just watched as Mr. Cooper walked away, then her eyes wandered over to her car. “I was in an accident? But there was no one on the road… It was day when I left the cabin…” Hearing what Marcy just said, Capt. Allison asked, “What cabin? There’s nothing for several miles either direction.” Ignoring the paramedic, Marcy felt lighter… SO much lighter. She looked at herself, now on the stretcher. “I’m skinny? How?” Truth is, she wasn’t SKINNY, she was still fat, but, she was probably a third of her most recent size. Marcy’s vision started to darken and fade again. “She’s losing consciousness! We got to get her to the hospital soon!” were the last words she heard before everything went dark.

When she came to, it was like waking up from a REALLY weird dream. Except, this time, she woke up on a hospital bed, her mother standing next to the bed. “Good morning, sweetie! Are you feeling okay? Your mother’s on her way.” Marcy wasn’t expecting to see her mother, but she started to tear up. “Mom? What happened? Why am I in the hospital? Why am I skinny?” Her mother just smiled before saying, “Honey, you were in a bad accident. You’ve been out for a little while. And… you must still be delirious, because you're not skinny! HaHa! You never have been… but that doesn’t matter right now. What matter’s is that you’re okay. You, me, and your mother can rest easy now.” Her mother said, resting her hand on Marcy’s chubby cheek, smiling. Marcy looked at her mother and smiled.

“It’s good to be back home.” Marcy said, looking out the window.
