A few weeks later, Sophie continued to embrace her lifestyle, indulging in the pleasures of food and the joy of her blossoming relationship with Julia. However, the changes in her body were starting to affect her performance on the hockey field. Her once lithe and agile form had become softer and slower, and she found it increasingly difficult to keep up with the intense pace of her training sessions.

One afternoon during practice, Sophie felt particularly sluggish. Her heavier body made it harder to maneuver quickly, and she was struggling to keep up with her teammates. As she pushed herself to sprint across the field, she felt a sharp pain in her ankle. With a cry of pain, she stumbled and fell, clutching her injured ankle.

Her teammates rushed to her side, concern etched on their faces. Eve knelt down beside her, examining the injury. “Soph, are you okay? Can you stand?”

Sophie shook her head, wincing in pain. “I don’t think so. It hurts a lot.”

Eve helped Sophie to her feet, supporting her as they made their way off the field. “We need to get you to the locker room and put some ice on that ankle. You might need to see a doctor.”

Sophie nodded, feeling a mix of frustration and embarrassment. She knew her recent weight gain had contributed to her injury, and she couldn’t help but feel a pang of guilt. As they reached the locker room, Eve helped Sophie to a bench and went to fetch some ice.

While Sophie waited, she began to strip off her gear, wincing as she moved her injured ankle. She was deep in thought, worried about how this injury might affect her ability to play, when she heard the door to the locker room open. She looked up to see Kim walking in, a look of concern on her face.

“Soph, I heard what happened. Are you okay?” Kim asked, coming over to her.

“I twisted my ankle,” Sophie replied, trying to keep her voice steady. “Eve went to get some ice. I’m just worried about how long it will take to heal.”

Kim sat down next to Sophie, her expression softening. “I’m sorry you got hurt. But maybe it’s a sign that you need to take a break and take care of yourself.”

Sophie sighed, nodding. “You’re probably right. I’ve been pushing myself too hard.”

There was a moment of silence, and then Kim took a deep breath. “Sophie, there’s something I need to tell you.”

Sophie looked at her, curious. “What is it?”

Kim hesitated for a moment, then continued. “I’ve had feelings for you for a long time. And seeing you embrace your new body and your new lifestyle has only made those feelings stronger. I find your weight gain incredibly attractive. It’s awakened something in me that I never knew I had.”

Sophie’s eyes widened in surprise. “Really? You’re attracted to me?”

Kim nodded, her cheeks flushing slightly. “Yes. I think you’re beautiful, Sophie. And seeing you so happy and confident has made me realize how much I care about you.”

Sophie felt a rush of emotions—surprise, curiosity, and a burgeoning sense of excitement. “Kim, I had no idea. I’ve always thought of you as a friend, but... I’m flattered.”

Kim smiled, reaching out to take Sophie’s hand. “I understand if you don’t feel the same way. But I couldn’t keep it to myself any longer. I needed you to know.”

Before Sophie could respond, the door opened again, and Eve returned with the ice. She helped Sophie apply it to her ankle, giving Kim a knowing look. “I’ll give you two some privacy,” she said with a wink, leaving the room.

Kim helped Sophie to the showers, supporting her as they made their way to the changing area. As they stepped into the shower, the warm water cascading over their bodies, Sophie felt a sense of vulnerability and intimacy that she had never experienced before.

“Kim, I appreciate your honesty,” Sophie said, her voice soft. “I’ve never thought about us like that, but... I can’t deny that I’ve noticed how supportive and kind you’ve been.”

Kim moved closer, the water streaming over her face. “Sophie, I’ve been drawn to you for so long. Seeing you embrace your body has been such a turn-on for me. It’s made me realize how much I want to be with you.”

Sophie felt a rush of desire and curiosity. “Kim, I’ve been on this journey of self-discovery, and I think... I’d like to explore this with you.”

Kim’s eyes lit up with hope and excitement. “Really?”

Sophie nodded, reaching out to touch Kim’s cheek. “Yes. Let’s see where this goes.”

They moved closer, their bodies pressing together under the warm spray of the shower.
