Sarah's stitches

Chapter 25

“Marriage!?” the two women cried in unison. They had prepared themselves for many ridiculous hoops to jump through in order to get the house, but marriage was not one of them.

Cleo looked down at Sarah with a sorrowful expression and tears in her eyes. “I couldn't pressure you, after everything I put you through. I love you, you know how much I do, but I need to earn back your trust!”

“That wasn't... that wasn't you, Cleo,” Sarah began tearing up as well. “I know who you really are, and you are the love of my life. You've shown me so much that I didn't know about myself! I've never loved anyone the way I love you, and I don't think I ever will!”

“I just love you so much,” Cleo was sobbing by this point, “and I just want you to be happy!”

“Well,” Sarah said with a smile as she whipped some of her tears away. Bending down on one knee, Sarah pulled several threads from her magical garments that wove themselves together until it became a metal ring set with a lustrous black opal.

“Are we really doing this? Do you mean it?" Cleo cried as she began sucking I'm air to keep herself calm.

“Not immediately, of course!” assured the cat, now panicking for the reaction he had caused. “I can give you both a little time to think abou--”

“Cleo,” Sarah said as sure a stone, “will you make me the happiest woman in the world and be my wife?”

“Yes of course!” Cleo cried as she pulled Sarah up for a much needed kiss.

After what seemed like a full minute later to the poor cat, Cleo let go of Sarah just enough so they could look down at the ring she had made. “How did you even make this? It's beautiful!”

“I'm not sure, it was like the magic just knew what to do,” Sarah tried to explain.

“Well, I love it!” Cleo exclaimed with another bear hug of a squeeze. “It's perfect!”

“Just like us,” Sarah squeezed Cleo's hands lovingly, “together we're perfect.”

“Oh no! What about our families, I don't think they know we're dating!” Cleo exclaimed.

“I don't think my famyevwn knows I'm gay!” Sarah roared with deep hearty laugh.

“Oh fuck, they're going to be in for a shock, huh?” Cleo had joined Sarah's laughter. “We've for a lot of work ahead of us.”

Cleo turned to the landlord and asked “How long do we have, Mr. Landlord?”

"End of the summer,” the cat answered softly, “but for two talented spellcasters such as yourselves, I'm sure you'll be able to plan a lovely wedding.”

“Whew!” Cleo exhaled, “We're really going to do this?”

“We're really gonna do this,” Sarah confirmed, ”but I'm thinking it's going to be some serious work getting me to fit into my dress.”

“Oh yeah?” Cleo said as she slowly closed the door in front of the cat. “Need to slim down a little for the wedding? It's nothing to be ashamed of, my darling fiance.”

“Something like that,” Sarah purred into Cleo's ear. “Although, you're not looking so trim yourself, my love.”

“I have no idea what you mean,” Cleo feigned as she took her top off and plopped down backwards on the bed and let her belly wobble all around. “I haven't gained a pound since freshman year.”

“Me too,” mocked Sarah, as she snapped her fingers and rearranged her magical garments into ropy set of liberty that squeezed her fat all over I'm interested patterns. “In that case, it wouldn't hurt to treat ourselves to some sweets then, would it fiance?”

“Not at all,” Cleo agreed as she conjured two large pitchers of thick creamy shakes and a funnel.
