Chapter 5 - insatiable

By May when she started working full-time, Jenna got high 3-4 times a week. The stress of the end of the semester caught up to her and she found smoking a bowl relaxed her significantly. She also found herself ordering much larger meals at work to bring home to gorge on while “suffering” from the munchies.
 
The first night back babysitting, she continued her routine as normal, but ended up taking an edible once the kids had gone to bed. Slowly getting giggly while the effects kicked in, she dialed for a Chinese food feast fit for two. She hardly even thanked the delivery guy before she closed the door and tore into an egg roll. The parents wouldn’t be home until midnight tonight, so she had plenty of time to sober up. As the night passed, one egg roll turned into three, a bag of crab rangoons, and a full order of sweet and sour chicken. Her sensation of fullness suppressed, she ate far more than she needed to, only stopping when she completely ran out of food.
 
Stuffed to the brim and getting sleepy, she laid down on the couch and put her feet up. Looking towards her toes, she laughed at how large her belly was when it was stuffed so full. Gently rubbing it, she watched HGTV until she dozed off. Sleeping was not off-limits if the kids were asleep, and she had a baby monitor by her side in the event anyone needed attention.
 
She repeated the process the next night, with Korean BBQ, and the next with a calzone and a sleeve of oreos. The weed shop was a thirty-minute drive, otherwise, she likely would have kept this up the rest of the week. Not wanting to turn this into a habit, she skipped getting stoned at work entirely the following week, but that did not stop her when she got home after her shift. Jenna caught the bug that comes with seemingly unlimited access to food, and she took full advantage of it while she could.
 
It had warmed up enough by the end of May for the family to open the pool, and Jenna excitedly watched the pool team get to work chlorinating and checking the water for safety. She tried on last summer’s bikini that evening to see if she still liked it this season, and caught more cellulous on her thighs than she ever noticed before.
