Chapter 3 : Welcome to New York

Lena and Michael landed in New York. They felt a sense of excitement and anticipation for the adventure ahead. They made their way through the airport, following signs for baggage claim and ground transportation.

As they stepped out of the airport and onto the bustling streets of New York City, they were immediately struck by the energy of the city. People rushed past them, hailing cabs, dragging suitcases, and hurrying to their destinations.

Lena and Michael looked around in amazement, taking in the towering skyscrapers, the throngs of people, and the flashing lights of Times Square in the distance. The sounds of honking horns, chatter, and music filled the air, adding to the sensory overload of their first moments in the city.

Lena and Michael unpacked their luggage and settled into their hotel room at Hotel RL Brooklyn in the Bedford-Stuyvesant neighborhood. As they looked out the window, they were struck by the eclectic mix of architecture, from brownstones to high-rises, that filled the view.

Lena smiled as she held up her camera, ready to start her next vlog entry. "Hey guys, welcome to our hotel room in New York City!" she said, panning the camera around to show the cozy, well-appointed space.

"Michael's in the middle of changing, so excuse the mess," she added with a chuckle, zooming in on Michael as he stepped out of the bathroom.

"He's in athletic form and ready for all the adventures that lie ahead," Lena continued, admiring Michael's fit physique.

As Lena continued to film, she couldn't help but notice the differences in body size and shape between New York and their native France. "It's really interesting to see how different the culture is here when it comes to body size and shape," she remarked.

"As you can see from the people on the streets below, there's a wide range of body types and sizes, from thin and fit to overweight and obese. It's not something we see as much in France, where the cultural norms around food and fitness are a bit different. As we've been exploring the city, we've seen so many people who are struggling with their weight and dealing with the health consequences that come along with it. It's a serious issue that affects so many people" she added.

Despite the differences, Lena and Michael were excited to immerse themselves in this vibrant, diverse city and explore all it had to offer. As she signed off on her vlog, Lena looked forward to sharing more of their adventures with her viewers, documenting their journey one step at a time.

Lena and Michael sat on the edge of the bed, looking out at the bustling city below. They were hungry and eager to find a place to eat for their first night in New York.

"I was thinking we could try to find something healthy, maybe vegan food?" Lena said, flipping through her phone in search of nearby restaurants.

Michael chuckled, "Are you kidding me? We're in New York City! We have to indulge a bit, right?"

Lena grinned, feeling a sense of excitement and adventure. "You know what, you're right. We can be healthy tomorrow. Let's go all out tonight."

Michael nodded, feeling a surge of anticipation for the meal ahead. "I know just the place. Have you heard of The Burger House? It's supposed to have the best burgers in town."

Lena's eyes widened, "Oh, I've heard of it. I've always wanted to try it."

With that, the decision was made. Lena and Michael would head to The Burger House for their first meal in the city. As they made their way down to the street below, they felt a sense of excitement and anticipation for the adventure ahead, eager to indulge in all that the city had to offer.

Lena and Michael walked into The Burger House, their mouths watering at the delicious smells coming from the kitchen. They found a table and eagerly awaited their meal, chatting and laughing as they took in the lively atmosphere of the restaurant.

When the burgers arrived, Lena's eyes widened in amazement. "Wow, these burgers are twice the size of what we get in France!" she exclaimed, taking a bite and savoring the juicy, flavorful taste.

Michael nodded in agreement :
"And look at these fries! The portion is huge!"

Lena couldn't resist taking out her camera and starting to film for her vlog.

"Hey guys, we're here at The Burger House and we are digging into these massive burgers and fries. I don't know if you can see this, but this plate is impressiv! I mean, look at the size of these burgers and the mountains of fries.
This burger is literally covered in cheese! It's like nothing I've ever seen before.
I don't know if I can do it, guys ! This is seriously the biggest meal I've ever seen. I don't think I can finish it.
This is one of the most intense food challenges I've ever faced !"

"Hey Lena, let's be real," Micheal said, grinning mischievously. "You eat like this every day. You're just pretending for the camera."

Lena laughed, shaking her head. "I wish I could eat like this every day but unfortunately, my waistline would not be too happy about it.".
