Chapter 2 - Calm before the storm

It was a normal day for Debbie and her friend Hailey, who were both out shopping for the day. The two friends had finally gotten a day in the week when they weren't busy with work or other manners. A day the two friends could have a day with each other. Going shopping, seeing the sights of the city, And having a nice meal together.

The two friends had just been to a restaurant and where heading to a nearby clothes store. With Hailey hoping to find a new jacket. She had recently in the last few months lost a lot of weight, and was still looking to down size her current wardrobe.

"So Hailey? What kinda vibe we feeling for the jacket? Wanting something stylish? Or just something that will serve it's purpose?" Debbie asked as she adjusted her pony tail, as the two friends approached and entered the store.

"Hmm... maybe something a bit more stylish... like a leather jacket or maybe even a flannel! You know how boring my last coat was!" Hailey laughed. "Heh yeah... was very puffy but plain... and you always seemed to wear it for some reason" Debbie laughed as she stepped onto the escalator first, followed by Hailey

Hailey laughed also I only wore it mostly because it hid my belly at the time more! Thank goodness I don't have to worry about that sort of stuff again" she patted her exposed stomach due to her crop top. since loosing all her weight, Hailey had gained some amount of confidence when it came to the clothes she wore. Instead of wearing baggy and covering clothes. Hailey now favoured... the slight more revealing type, especially since she was trying to get herself a boyfriend.

"True that" Debbie laughed "Honestly, it's impressive how much you've lost Hails, true dedication! I know I probably would have giving up" Debbie laughed as they reached the top of the escalator, and began to make their way towards the coat section of the store

"You're to kind Debs... but it's not like you would really need to loose weight anyway, your just naturally skinny... with lovely curves I know Tyler loves" Hailey chucked giving Debbie a nudge. "Pffff" she laughed as she sat down "You ain't wrong... So any jackets catch your eye?"

The two girls spent some time in the store, as Hailey tried on different coats, ranging from regular jackets, to flannels. with Hailey then deciding on a leather jacket, One simar looking to Debbie's. "Ahhh I'm glad I finally got a sweeeet leather jacket now" Hailey said as the two girls walked out the store, Hailey wearing her new jacket. Debbie did a long whistle in response "Looking slick girl! We're jacket buddies now!" She put her arm around her friend as she took a selfie of the two "Look how cool we look!" she showed Hailey who smiled "Totally Debs... But you should wear your hair down for the photo!" Hailey pointed out "Trueee" Debbie smiled a she put her phone in her pocket "Let me just correct that quickly" she put her hands to her hair and began to undo the pony tail. As she did so Hailey noticed something further down the city street... people were running from the street to the left, to the street to her right. with some making their way into the street the girls where in

"Hey debs?" She said as Debbie shook her head, letting her hair come down just above her shoulders "What's up Hails?" She looked to her friend in the opposite direction Hailey was looking "There's something going on up there... people are running!" "Huh?! for real?" Debbie asked, as the sounds of now screaming could be heard. Debbie looked in the direction that Hailey was looking. And from that moment on... everything changed forever
