Chapter 9 - The Diet

The next few weeks were difficult for James, he was so conflicted. Jordan had stuck true to his word, James was shocked at how determined he was to lose weight and 'get in shape' as his lover kept saying. Jordan had cut right down on unhealthy foods, and even when he did eat them as a treat, he did not seem to lose control and gorge anymore. Also, he had started quite a vigorous exercise regime, going to the gym after work and for long runs at the weekend. Well, that self discipline and drive must have always been in Jordan, James mused, otherwise he wouldn't have lost so much weight in the first place.

Of course, James was still madly in love with Jordan, their relationship remained healthy and sensual. However, in his dreams James had hoped that the horrendous behaviour from his parents might have spurred Jordan on to gain more weight simply to spite his parents. Jordan sighed, he should know that was a fantasy too far - his lover was not like him. It was time to face facts, he was just simply fatsexual and his partner was not wired the same.

But whilst James was having this internal conflict, he was completely oblivious to the same situation Jordan was in. Jordan had realised that James was deeply attracted to his growing body and had really enjoyed being appreciated in that way. It reminded him of back in the olden days, his obese days, when he had been a member of a dating site for big guys called Grommr. Still, he was only ever on there because he was fat and needy for some attention and it was the best place to get it. He had a loving boyfriend now, he could enjoy keeping fit and active and bury this strange feeling he had always had inside - that being fat was something he enjoyed. 'Listen to yourself', Jordan angrily scolded himself inside his head, 'those big days are behind you, you're going to be an attractive man for the love of your life'.
