Chapter 2

Sophie’s first experience at college with Macy definitely left a sour taste in her mouth but things started to get better as she attended classes and met other girls in her major. With her major being microbiology there were not very many other girls in her classes but the ones that she did share classes with were also nerdy so most of them enjoyed similar things. Sophie had made friends with three other girls from her classes, and they talked about all sorts of nerdy stuff that most girls would turn their heads at. Their names were Hannah, Jamie, and Mary and the group got along like four peas in a pod. Hannah was a college soccer player that was tall for a girl and was long and lanky compared to the average female soccer player and had long beautiful blonde hair. Jamie was a short girl with brown hair and was an average weight for how tall she was. Mary looked like a traditional nerd with large black glasses, brown hair, extremely skinny frame, and she still had her braces from high school.

“I’m telling you guys; she’s so mean to me. Like I don’t even know what I did she just hated me from the start,” said Sophie sitting at the college dining hall with her new group of friends. “God, she sounds like a total bitch to be honest, what are you gonna do about her?” Asked Jamie as she took a bite of her food. “I can’t really do anything about her, we’re signed in the college apartment system together for at least the end of the year, so I’m basically stuck with her,” said Sophie frantically. “And the worst thing about her is she totally puts me down because of my size, it’s so upsetting sometimes,” said Sophie as she looked down at the floor. “Well one solution is that you could try and slim down, I know of a couple ways to shed some pounds if you’d like,” said Jamie in a helpful tone. “You guys don’t understand it’s impossible for me to lose weight I’ve tried almost everything,” said Sophie defeatedly. “You’ve tried almost everything, but not everything,” said Jamie pointing out the obvious fact. “My aunt had the same problem and I tried some hypnosis weight loss stuff on her and she’s basically a model,” said Jamie confidently. “You really think that could work for me,” said Sophie in a hopeful tone. “Of course, I’ll be by your place after biology class this afternoon and we’ll give it a try,” said Jamie. Sophie was almost down for anything to lose weight and save her from a year of bullying from Macy. “Okay I’m down,” said Sophie.
