Chapter 2

After much convincing, Katelyn agreed to go to the amusement park. Luckily it wasn’t too much of a drive, and before they knew it, they parked their car at a local parking garage and headed over to where the shuttle car would pick them up.

As they entered the pickup area, they noticed something peculiar. All the individuals at the pickup spot were in pristine physical condition. Toned abs, large biceps, and sculpted booties filled the area, making Katelyn feel a little more comfortable. However, Jeffrey was a bit more discerning. Each couple, as physically beautiful as they were, seemed to be completely disinterested in their partner. Most were staring straight at their phones and not interacting with each other at all, and some were even bickering to each other. In Jeffrey’s eyes, the thinner partner seemed to be the one least engaged, while the larger partner tended to be the one trying to get their partner’s attention. Jeffrey couldn’t help but empathize with their body language.

As the shuttle pulled up however, they noticed something odd. For starters, the bus driver took up the entire seat, and even spilled into walkway of the bus. With a large double chin and cheeks the size of grapefruits, her smile beamed at the oncoming passengers while her fattened arms turned the wheel, parking the shuttle in place. As she opened the doors to the shuttle, the whole bus began to shake back and forth as the passengers got up from their seats and shuffled one by one out the entrance. To Katelyn’s shock, each and every person leaving the bus was morbidly obese. Bellies were hanging out of shirts, not a single thigh gap to be seen, and their love handles were brushing against the open doors of the bus. Even stranger, each person was dressed eerily the same. Men with button down shirts and khaki’s, and women with a short sundress. Each person’s outfit seemed to fit them perfectly, if not a little snug.

“I guess fat camp must have gotten the time slot ahead of us…” commented Katelyn, snickering at each passenger struggling to waddle off the bus, heaving and panting at the physical exertion. Jeffrey rolled his eyes, hoping nobody heard his girlfriend’s fatphobic comment.

“Welcome to New Beginnings! Find your seat with your park outfit, and prepare for a wonderful experience that we hope will change your lives forever!” belched the driver.

If only they knew that the bus driver already knew what was in store.
