The gluttony chronicles: the roommates

Chapter 2 - Shoes on the other Foot

As Sarah approached her closet on that fateful morning, she reached for her favorite pair of jeans without a second thought. However, as she attempted to pull them on, she immediately noticed something was off. The once-familiar fabric resisted her efforts, refusing to glide smoothly over her thighs and hips as it had done countless times before. With a sinking feeling in the pit of her stomach, Sarah tugged harder, desperation creeping into her movements. But no matter how much she strained, the jeans simply wouldn't budge past her mid-thighs, leaving her frustrated and defeated.

Feeling disheartened, Sarah reluctantly abandoned her beloved jeans and reached for her trusty running shorts instead. As she prepared for her morning jog, she couldn't shake the sense of unease that lingered in the back of her mind. But she pushed the thought aside, determined to maintain her fitness routine despite the challenges she faced.

As she set out on her run, Sarah's movements felt sluggish and heavy, her legs protesting with each step. But she persevered, pushing herself to keep up the pace despite the growing discomfort. However, as she rounded a corner, disaster struck – the seam of her running shorts gave way with an audible rip, leaving her exposed and vulnerable.

With cheeks burning with embarrassment, Sarah hurriedly tied her jacket around her waist in a feeble attempt to conceal the damage. But the damage had already been done, and she couldn't shake the feeling of humiliation that washed over her. As she trudged home, her once-secure sense of self slowly began to unravel, replaced by a nagging sense of doubt and insecurity.

All her clothes were struggling to contain her expanding curves, her outfit today consisted of a loose-fitting t-shirt that failed to conceal the bulge of her burgeoning belly and snug leggings that emphasized the roundness of her thighs and hips.

As Sarah lingered near the edge of the room, she couldn't help but overhear snippets of conversation drifting towards her from across the crowded space. Her friends, unaware of her proximity, spoke in hushed tones, their words tinged with a mixture of concern and bewilderment.

"I just don't understand what's gotten into her lately," Emily's voice carried a note of worry, tinged with a hint of frustration. "She used to be so disciplined and focused on her fitness goals, but now it's like she's completely lost sight of everything."

Sarah's heart sank as she listened to her friends' words, a pang of guilt twisting in her chest. She knew they were talking about her – about the changes they had witnessed in her behavior and appearance over the past few months. And while part of her wanted to defend herself, to explain the struggles she had been facing, another part of her couldn't bear to face the truth of their observations.

"I know, it's like she's a completely different person now," Jessica chimed in, her voice tinged with sadness. "I miss the old Sarah – the one who would drag us all out for early morning runs and healthy brunches. This new version of her... it's just not the same."

Sarah's stomach churned with guilt and shame as she listened to her friends lamenting her transformation. She wanted to speak up, to reassure them that she was still the same person deep down, but the words caught in her throat, suffocated by the weight of her own insecurities. As she turned away, retreating further into the shadows, Sarah couldn't shake the sinking feeling that she was losing not only her friends, but herself, in the process.

As Stacy's friends gathered in their usual spot at the park, they exchanged friendly banter and stretched their muscles in preparation for their morning run. Emily, always the early bird, arrived first, followed closely by Jessica and Urla. They chatted animatedly as they awaited Sarah's arrival, their anticipation building with each passing minute.

But as the minutes turned into hours, Sarah was nowhere to be seen. Confusion etched itself onto Emily's face as she checked her phone for any messages or updates from their missing friend. "Where could she be?" she wondered aloud, her brow furrowing with concern.

"I don't know, but this isn't like her," Jessica chimed in, her voice tinged with worry. "She's never missed a morning run before without letting us know beforehand."

Urla, ever the pragmatist, tried to lighten the mood with a joke. "Maybe she finally realized that running is overrated and decided to sleep in instead," she quipped, earning a half-hearted chuckle from her companions.

But as the minutes stretched into hours, their laughter faded, replaced by a growing sense of unease. "Do you think something's wrong?" Emily asked, her voice barely above a whisper as she glanced around anxiously.

Just then, Sarah emerged from the shadows, a bright smile plastered on her face as she approached her friends. "Sorry I'm late, guys!" she exclaimed, her voice a little too chipper for the situation. "I brought snacks!"

As she produced a box of cookies from her bag, Emily's eyebrows shot up in surprise. "Cookies? For breakfast?" she asked, her tone laced with skepticism.

Sarah shrugged nonchalantly, her smile never faltering. "Why not? Life's too short to worry about calories and carbs," she replied, offering the box to her friends.

Despite their initial hesitations, Emily, Jessica, and Urla couldn't resist the allure of Sarah's offering. They each grabbed a cookie and took a hesitant bite, their expressions morphing from uncertainty to delight as the sweet flavor filled their mouths.

"These are amazing!" Jessica exclaimed, reaching for another cookie without hesitation. "What's in them?"

Sarah's smile widened, a mischievous glint in her eye as she watched her friends indulge in the treats. "Oh, just a little bit of magic," she replied cryptically, her voice barely above a whisper.

As the morning sun rose higher in the sky, Sarah's friends continued to munch on the cookies, oblivious to the subtle changes taking place within their bodies and minds. Little did they know, Sarah's plan was already in motion – and they were about to become unwitting participants in her grand scheme of transformation.

The next morning, Emily, Jessica, and Urla met up for their usual morning exercise routine. However, instead of gearing up for a run, they opted for a leisurely stroll to their local Dunkin' Donuts. As they walked side by side, their conversation turned to the events of the previous day.

"Those cookies Sarah brought were incredible," Jessica remarked, her eyes lighting up at the memory. "I can't stop thinking about them!"

Emily nodded in agreement, a small smile playing on her lips. "Yeah, they were surprisingly delicious," she admitted. "But I couldn't help but feel a little strange afterward."

Urla, always the voice of reason, chimed in with a shrug. "Maybe it was just all the sugar," she suggested, though her own thoughts were beginning to drift to the unusual circumstances surrounding Sarah's sudden disappearance and subsequent reappearance with the mysterious cookies.

As they approached Dunkin' Donuts, the trio's pace slowed, their mouths watering at the thought of the sugary treats that awaited them inside. Without a word, they entered the shop and made a beeline for the display case, their eyes scanning the assortment of pastries and donuts with eager anticipation.

"I'll have a chocolate glazed donut, please," Jessica said eagerly, her mouth watering at the sight of the decadent treat.

"Make that two," Emily added, unable to resist the temptation of the sugary confections.

Urla hesitated for a moment before finally giving in to her cravings. "I'll take a blueberry muffin," she said with a sigh, feeling a twinge of guilt at abandoning her usual healthy breakfast choices.

As they sat down at a nearby table to enjoy their treats, the trio's conversation turned to lighter topics, their worries and suspicions momentarily forgotten in the face of their shared indulgence. Little did they know, Sarah's plan was already beginning to take effect, subtly altering their desires and behaviors with each bite of the enchanted cookies. And as they savored the sweet taste of victory, they had no idea of the transformation that lay ahead – both for themselves and for their unsuspecting friend.

After a week of indulging in Sarah's magically fattening cookies, Emily, Jessica, and Urla found themselves facing a slew of new thoughts and cravings that filled their heads.

Emily, once the epitome of discipline and self-control, now found herself constantly craving sugary snacks and decadent desserts. The mere thought of a green smoothie or a kale salad now elicited a sense of revulsion, replaced instead by a longing for rich, indulgent treats that would satisfy her newfound sweet tooth.

Jessica, who had always prided herself on her toned physique and healthy lifestyle, was beginning to notice subtle changes in her body that left her feeling unsettled. Her clothes felt tighter, her once-flat stomach now slightly rounded from the excess calories she had been consuming. Despite her initial reservations, she found herself eagerly reaching for another cookie whenever the opportunity presented itself, unable to resist the irresistible allure of Sarah's magical treats.

Urla, ever the voice of reason, had also fallen victim to the cookies' insidious influence. Though she tried to maintain her usual healthy habits, she found herself succumbing to cravings for sugary snacks and high-calorie treats more often than she cared to admit. Her once-lean physique was slowly but surely beginning to soften, her clothes straining against her expanding waistline as the effects of Sarah's enchantment took hold.

As the trio met up for their daily walks and workouts, they couldn't help but notice the changes that were occurring within themselves and each other. Their conversations were filled with talk of cravings and indulgences, their once-strict diets now a thing of the past as they eagerly embraced their new, gluttonous desires.

Little did they know, Sarah was watching their transformations with a sense of satisfaction, knowing that her plan was working even better than she had anticipated. And as the days passed and their cravings grew stronger, she couldn't help but feel a sense of anticipation for the deliciously decadent future that lay ahead.
