Lucky's buffet

chapter 4

Watching her eat was quite a sight. It was incredibly obvious that she relished the taste, the feeling of the food entering her bulging gut, the simple action of putting food into her mouth and chewing, and swallowing. Not to mention the speed; she shoved at least three slices down her throat before I had eaten the bowl of soup I had grabbed. She had finished entire pizza about the time I had finished my plate, which left me stuffed.

"How was your meal?" I asked, contentedly. She looked up at me in surprise, which was the first time her face hadn't been near her plate for the last half hour. That gave me a great chance to see how her meal had affected her body. Her belly had visibly expanded. I had assumed it was stuffed before; now I realized that that's how it looks when she isn't stuffed. With a pizza in it, it was far bigger of course.

Before, it had been an almost perfectly round bulge peeking out of her profile for several inches. Now, it looked liked she was hiding a watermelon under her shirt. Or at least, it would if her shirt was large enough to cover more than half of it, instead of exposing half of her creamy gut to the world. "You thought that was my meal? Dude, I've only just begun." I barely managed to keep my jaw from dropping, thankfully.

She then got up, under her own power surprisingly enough. I could see her wobble slightly; the food baby she looked to be post term with had to be at least somewhat unsteadying to her balance. Despite the handicap, she got to one of the buffet tables. In a matter of seconds it seemed she had filled up a platter (not a plate, a platter) with a macaroni and cheese dish that was infamous in the area for being richer than most cheesecakes. She then looked around, stymied. Then her face lit up and she called me over.

I was uncomfortable with my own stuffed belly, but I had no qualms about walking up to this gluttonous angel and seeing what she needed. She told me to fill up a platter with tri-tip and give it to her so she could carry both. And asked me politely to fill up another one with orange chicken, and if I was feeling especially nice, another one with fried rice. Being who I am, I of course filled up all three and carried them all to the table where we were sitting. My theory was that her eyes were far too large for her stomach, or that she was on some kind of drug.

Despite my own misgivings, she started to eat the incredible mass of food at the exact same rate she ate the pizza, perhaps faster since she could shovel it in with a fork instead of using both hands to guide the piece to her mouth. I looked at her again, and decided that shoveling it in didn't do this girl justice. She was bulldozing it in to her mouth. It had barely been five minutes, and the first platter of macaroni and cheese had a noticeable dent in it.

At this point, she was stuffed far beyond any human capacity of which I had been aware. Not only did her stomach look like a fleshy beach ball (she had outgrown a watermelon by now), she was so stuffed that every bite added to its size. You see, normally the stomach has room to stretch or unfold without showing through the skin. However, her stomach had outgrown its normally allocated space and had decided, instead of returning its contents, telling the brain to stop feeding it, or most graphically, tearing like an overfilled water balloon, to stretch along with the skin surrounding it into the area in front of her torso. The area that was soon going to be filled by her torso.

In what seemed like an instant- it was actually closer to 20 minutes- she had finished the platter of macaroni and cheese. Her belly now sat on top of the table, even though her back was up against the seat of the booth, and since she was so short, that required her gut to stick out in terms of feet instead of inches. She had given up on putting the platters on the table, and instead put them on the booth next to her. She had twisted her body so that she could use her arms to take food and feed herself while allowing her belly room and direction to expand as it would. And it would indeed.
