The student

chapter 8

It had been a month and a half since Mia and Grace's first night out. Mia had been struggling hard to keep her figure. She refused to fire Edmund since his food was too amazing, and had promised herself that she would tell him to only cook her health food, but had never gotten around to telling him. She couldn't resist his savoury, heavy, fatty meals. Whenever he placed them on the table before her, she couldn't possibly say no to their delicious scent and mouthwatering taste.

When the maid her dad had hired had arrived at Mia's front door, she'd felt sympathy for the poor girl and didn't turn her away. She probably couldn't even afford to wear Gucci. The maid was excellent, and did everything for Mia, waiting on her every need. She soon got used to not having to do anything for herself and laying around and lazing about whenever she could. Her off days were now limited to watching TV with Grace, overeating on delicious food, and sleeping on her king-size bed.

She and Grace's friendship had grown greatly, and they went out to the dance bar a two or three times a week, and they always ended eating a little too much of the great food the bar had to offer. When they weren't out partying, they were at the design school, or hanging around at Mia's mansion, usually watching TV while munching on snacks that Edmund had prepared. Even though Mia was trying to eat less, Grace was very persuasive about eating more food.

Mia had a full gym in her mansion, decked out with all kinds of expensive equipment. She used to go every day and work out for hours, but lately it was had become harder for her to visit. She would visit her gym infrequently to try and melt off the 'couple of pounds' she'd gained, but it was becoming a shorter and shorter amount of time before Mia grew exhausted and sweaty and was forced to quit and hit the showers. She hated working out and she hated it even more now that the machines seemed to 'be malfunctioning and becoming harder to use'. She began to dread the gym, and avoided walking past it for fear of feeling guilty for not working out enough. However, she still tried to go every so often just to validate that she was still skinny and fit.

Mia refused to acknowledge her growing figure, and continued to wear all of her size-small clothes, no matter how tight they were. She didn't realize that her clothes laboured and strained to contain her new, plump body. She was becoming very lazy and dependant on the heavy, fat-laden food she ate all day. But she didn't realize her new, gluttonous habits were even existent, and she truly believed she was being healthy and on the verge of 'losing these tough couple of pounds'. It was probably just water weight, or maybe the maid had shrunk her clothes. She'd have to confront her on that.

Actually I don't think it feels rushed. Like I said before. 3 to 5 lbs a week or more is easily possible. I knew a thin track runner who gained 8 lbs in one week of vacation completely by accident. So you're doing Great

Thanks for the input! I am trying to make this a bit of a shorter story than my first one, so that's why some things might seemed rushed and I apologize for that.

I'm looking forward to how well you handle realistic gaining. With the chef and the Chocolate binges it would be reasonable for her to gain 3 to 5 lbs a week steadily. Even a little bit more sometimes. Maybe a weigh in soon?

Keep going. It's a great concept. Plus you write "clean ". i.e. You have good spelling and punctuation.
