Chapter 4 - catherines selfdiscovery chapter 3 part 2

Her eyes didn't have to travel far to arrive at their next port of call. It bellowed out from her once trim frame and (moderately) flat stomach, casting a shadow over all that lay south of it. To Catherine her belly seemed strangely reminiscent of an early scene from the film 'Independence Day', as the leviathanesque alien crafts crept from their cloudy shrouds and their imposing size gradually cast a shadow over the towns and inhabitants below, plunging them into a constant state of adumbration. She knew she had gained weight, and she had an inkling as to where the lion's share now resided. Gently placing her hands upon her growing midsection it felt warm, her skin was silky smooth, yet to her surprise it didn't feel particularly tight, no doubt a result of the growing layer of fat that now encompassed it, proving some modicum of slack and give to her gestating form. It produced a low grumble and gurgle as it digested her heavy and hearty breakfast, making her feel pleasantly full and a tad bloated. She was pleasantly surprised that no serious stretch marks had broken out, although there were some faint streaks of pink lightning hither and thither across her belly, but they were only noticeable upon close and careful inspection. In the centre of it all was her belly button, Catherine still couldn't believe that she'd stuffed herself to the point of popping it some short weeks ago, such a thing seemed only possible in movies or cartoons.

While her belly button had without a doubt gained definition, her waist was certainly losing it, losing its battle with Catherine's increasing fat ratio. What once was easily concave was quickly approaching convex, although her belly was certainly expanding outwards enough to almost hide her disappearing waistline if one were to see her straight on. With her right hand on her right hip her weight was distributed altered slightly, which brought Catherine's attention to the growing amount of back fat that she was currently cultivating, small creases in her flesh appeared, almost like "... rolls?" She couldn't believe it, she was turning into a little butterball, but she was far from displeased by notion.

Under the shadow of her imposing belly were her thighs and hips, which on both accounts were certainly chubbier than she remembered. Her thighs were beginning to rub together, something Catherine's hadn't registered before now, but upon this realisation she found that it was quite pleasant, the soft stroking of skin on skin, flesh on flesh, 'Stop it!' she told herself, knowing where her train of thought would inevitably lead. Her hips flared out with abandon, both the pregnancy and her weight gain had seen to that, causing her dainty underwear to pinch into the growing bulge of flesh that was congregating around her panty line, leaving small red, patterned lines in their wake. Yep, all in all Catherine was pretty darn happy with the direction her body was headed, ALL directions: her weight going up, and her measurements going out and around. Now she just needed to find something to wear.
