The hippodrome

chapter 3

Katie Starling was one of Schlump Inc.'s best pharmaceutical sales people. She was always WAY over quota. Although she would be loathe to admit it, a LOT of her success was due to her looks. Most of her customers were doctors and most of them were men. Katie was tall, thin, and movie star gorgeous.

By all accounts, she was the poster child for the successful, modern woman. She had been engaged to Dennis O'Brien, an accountant at Schlump's, for six months. Just about three months before "The Big Day", they got into an argument. You see, Dennis was one of nine kids and he had always wanted a BIG family. Katie was an only child, and frankly the idea of being pregnant turned her stomach.

They had been out house hunting. Katie was all for an in-city condo while Dennis was more into a big, rambling house out in the suburbs. As they were discussing the relative merits of a couple of properties they had visited, Dennis said he was in love with a big, five bedroom house he had seen about thirty miles outside the city. He made a particular point of mentioning that it would be PERFECT for when they would be having kids. Katie reacted badly to this. She said, "Who says we're HAVING kids?" That started the argument, which ended with Katie giving Dennis back his engagement ring.

Needless to say, Katie was upset by the whole scene and she needed to relax. Her favorite form of relaxation was shopping for clothes. She went from one store to another but there just wasn't anything that turned her on, which only made her more and more frustrated.

She decided to work off her frustration at the gym. She was jogging her head off on the treadmill when she saw a woman working out with the weights. She wasn't much to look at, short, squat, and DEFINITELY muscle bound. But there was "something" about her leotards that got Katie's attention. So she sidled over to the weight room, smiled in the general direction of the short, squat body builder and asked where she had gotten such a darling leotard.

That was when Candi Azaria gave Katie a demure smile and said almost breathlessly, "I get ALL my clothes at the Hippodrome now. Here, I'll write down the address for you." Katie thanked her politely, finished her workout and immediately headed out in the general direction of the Hippodrome.

She walked down the block, passing the store several times, totally unimpressed with what she saw. The place was a dump and how could a dump have the kind of fashionable clothing that suited a knockout like Katie Starling? But she walked in any way. After all, why waste the trip?

Seated at a chair near an old fashioned cash register was a tall, thin GORGEOUS girl in a super sexy, slinky little black dress that accentuated every last curve on the girl's body! The girl greeted Katie warmly and asked if there was something she could do to help her.

Katie explained about her break-up and how she was looking for something to cheer herself up. The girl said, "Don't worry, I have JUST the outfit for you!!".

Katie could hear the girl rummaging in the back room. She had just about run out of patience waiting when the girl emerged with a box. "I think THIS is exactly what you need to cheer yourself up! Why don't you go in the back and try it on?". Somewhat reluctantly Katie did.

She opened the box only to see a dowdy dress that was WAY too big to fit a slender girl like her. She threw down the dress she had picked up, closed the box and was about to take the box back to the sales girl when suddenly she was overwhelmed with the urge to at least try the outfit on, which she did.

You could tell from the cut and style of the outfit that it was a maternity dress. For just a second, anger welled up in Katie and she was about to leave the Hippodrome permanently when things began to change.

For one thing, MUCH to Katie's surprise, the dress started to fit her. A mere second before the dress just draped over her tall thin frame, hanging there loosely, but now things were different somehow. For one thing, there was a distinctly noticeable bulge in the area of Katie's belly. Before she could even blink her eyes, the top too took on a shape and substance that just hadn't been there before. as her breasts went from firm and perky to full and slightly sagging. Katie was mesmerized with the reflection in the back room's full length mirror. Standing there before her was a pregnant woman, easily in her fortieth week. Her belly had grown to easily TWICE its former circumference. Her boobs were massive milk sacs, dripping visibly down the front of the dress. Her butt had puffed out quite noticeably. Her arms became flabby and jiggled ever so slightly with every move that Katie made. Her thighs were now the size of two VERY large hams, rubbing together and causing Katie to get wet and excited "down there".

Amazingly, Katie was shocked or appalled. She was entranced. It wasn't as much that this was the way she looked when she came into the store, it was that this was the way she was SUPPOSED to look.

Katie went to the front of the store to pay for the dress, when who should walk in but Dennis. And he wasn't alone. Four small children ranging in age from five to two trailed behind him. When they saw Katie, the kids let out a VERY loud, "MOMMY!!!!" Katie tried to give the clerk her credit card, but all the clerk could do was smile brightly and say, "No dear, it's on the house. Wear it in good health!"

And so Katie Starling O'Brien waddled out of the store and down the street, yet another demonstration of what the magic of the Hippodrome could do!
