chapter 30 binge once a week, not every day!
Sarah was enjoying her husband grow. Everything he did nowadays was slower. He struggled to wash and dress himself. He would come in from work covered in sweat and breathless and he'd only just walked from the car parked outside the house. He used the lift installed in the 'fat room' more and more to go upstairs. He was getting close to his limits. If he gained much more weight he would have to give up work and she knew he did not want to do that. Soon he would have to make a decision. Continue gaining and end up in the 'fat room', or lose some weight to continue working.
Then tragic news came from the hospital. Elaine had lost weight so that she could have the same operation that Sarah had undergone. The operation itself had gone well, but her recovery hadn't. She'd got an infection in an ulcer on her leg and it had broken down. Despite antibiotics, the infection had taken hold of her weakened body and she had died of septicaemia.
It was a big shock to everyone, especially those that had helped her to that colossal size. They all started asking questions to themselves. Had they taken things too far? None of them had expected this to be the outcome! They'd just wanted revenge. She hadn't deserved to die.
The news gave them all a reality check.
The person the news affected most was Jason. He'd not planned this! Fattening Elaine had been a bit of fun. She'd enjoyed it too, he was sure. There was no fun in death!
He looked down at his own fattened body. The same could happen to him if he wasn't careful! He had to stop now! He could not binge every single day, he needed to regain control! ...and fast!
He made drastic changes the day of Elaine's funeral. He stopped having two breakfasts, he stopped the drinking in the evening. He stopped going to the pub at lunchtime every day and stuck with packed lunches. He restricted his biscuits to two with each cup of coffee. He started using the stairs instead of the lift.
It was hard going. Especially when his stomach was grumbling in the middle of a therapy session and he knew one biscuit would be enough to keep it quiet.
His only respite from his new regime was on a Friday. On a Friday he allowed himself all his old indulgences... the two breakfasts, the mid morning cakes an biscuits, a three course lunch at his favourite pub, numerous sweets and snacks throughout the day and several drinks in the evening, which led to him consuming a pizza and a donner kebab.
He did not want to gain any more. Maintainance was enough. In fact, the new regime had him losing weight, but only to a point that didn't restrict his daily life. Sarah was happy with his flab, he looked forward to his weekly indulgence, he gained respect from his colleagues for losing some of his weight.
