Village life chapter 8

Chapter 8 - village life chapter 8 part 8

Lisa's heart raced as she was suddenly hoisted above everyone, her head frantically turned left and right with a panic- stricken expression, not knowing what was happening; the sudden motion sent her softened packed bump into a fit of uncomfortable grumbles until it settled once again, her breasts and thighs wobbled as her weight shifted. As her heart rate slowed she peered around at everyone, they were all dressed in the same white robes as Flow and the pole-bearers, she had no idea what to think.

"Is everybody ready?", Flow called out across the crowd followed by total silence from the people in white, which Flow took to as an affirmative answer, with a smile she called out once more, "Let's go then". With that Flow took her place at the head of the marching procession, followed by Lisa in her chair as the pole-bearers did their best to support her considerable weight, followed by everyone else in tight rows of threes.

Lisa looked ahead and around for their destination, only to see that they were marching into the forest, still ravaged by fatigue she was unable to ask any questions as to where they were headed or for what reason, thus she remained silent as the forest around her. Flow and many others in the crowd carried flaming torches to light their way, their orange and yellow light illuminating the beautiful, tranquil forest for many metres in all directions, save for the gentle chirp of insects all was silent as they made their way through the wood.

Ten minutes had passed since their journey began, Lisa's weight had been wobbled from left to right, upsetting the contents of both her womb and her stomach. Lost in massaging the slick skin of her massive middle she was surprised when her chair was lowered back to the ground, the poles removed and the four men took their places among the rest of the crowd in white. Looking around herself as best she could from her reclined position she found herself in a wide , open clearing, no trees or bushes nearby for some metres and the ebony night's sky visible over head littered with tiny stars. Fascinated by the sight above her she saw Flow's head come into her field of vision with a solemn look.

"This is where you play your part, Lisa, this is what we've been building you up to all these months. On behalf of everyone in the village we want to thank you for what you're doing", she said in an appreciative yet serious tone.

Swallowing hard Lisa wracked her brain, took a deep breath and formed words for the first time in what seemed like days, "I-I don't understand... I'm not in labour, am I? I don't feel like I'm in labour", she said with a worried look.

Flow placed an affectionate hand on Lisa's shoulder, "No, dear, you're not in labour, you'd know if you were. No, this is where you'll bring new life to our community."

"But-But how? I'm not even in labour, am I staying here until I do give birth or something?", Lisa flustered.

"Oh poor little Lisa, you still haven't worked it out, have you?", Flow said with a tone dripping with condescension.

"You said I would breathe new life into the village!", Lisa said in a maddened tone.

"And indeed you will. You will be feeding our lord, and in turn he will feed us", Flow replied with that smug smile.

Lisa eyes went wide as her heart rate picked up again, but found herself at a total loss for words.

"Our land will remain fertile, our crops will not wilt, the weather will remain as we need it, babies will be born and we will remain strong and healthy, all as a result of your sacrifice."

"But what about my baby?!", Lisa cried out in terror.

Placing a hand on Lisa's enormous bump Flow gave the widest of smiles, "I suppose this next year will be an especially prosperous year, our lord knows how to reward his people. We'll have to make sure all of our next sacrifices are pregnant too, we've never had a girl blow up the way you have, you've certainly given us something special, and we will all remember you for it Lisa." Bending down she placed a single kiss on Lisa's forehead before turning to join the others. Many came up wishing Lisa farewell and thinking her, taking her hand in gratitude or rubbing her fattened form like rubbing a Buddha's belly for luck.

With tears flowing down her face Lisa whimpered and cried out in anguish, trying her best to keep hold of the villagers that took her hands to say goodbye or grasping desperately at her robes, but all attempts were in vain due to the heavily oiled surface of her skin, her hands slid away almost effortlessly. When everyone had bid her farewell they all turned and quietly walked back to their village, leaving Lisa to cry out in the empty, hollow blackness of the forest.

Eventually the glow of the torches had faded and Lisa was alone and still crying, she had taken to desperately trying to pry herself from the chair's tight grip, but to no avail, she was too fat and heavy to extricate herself from its grasp. Her chubby cheeks wet with tears and hyperventilating she fell silent as she breathed as best she could, then she heard it. Starting as a faint hum, she heard it grow closer and closer until the hum had turned to a buzzing, an insect like buzzing all around her. Shrieking and crying out she felt her skin coating with thousands of tiny touches, in the dark of night with only the moon as her only source of light Lisa couldn't make out what was touching her, but she was truly petrified. Her screams grew louder and louder until very suddenly falling as silent as the night's sky.

The next morning the sun shone down bright and warm as Flow and a few others from the village made their way to the clearing, arriving there they found the chair and nothing else. Gazing around, the forest was alive with the sounds of its inhabitants, the sky was blue without a cloud in sight and the forest itself looked fresh as if covered in a few coat of paint, its colour was more bright and vibrant than Flow could remember it ever being. With a sigh she looked to the now empty chair and gestured to her companions, "Let's get it back to the village, I'm sure we can expect our next girl soon, and what a year we'll have."
