Milk fed

chapter 2

'It's blue.' Kim explained as she led the girls into the milking shed, a half dozen cows stood in a patient row surrounded by the farms ageing milking machinery lowing in quiet indignation to the interruption of their normal morning routine. Sure enough when Kim drew a sample from the churn the milk was a noticeable pale blue tint.
'Well that's just perfect' Suzie declared lifting the glass sample container up into the light 'this isn't star wars no one is going to want blue freaking milk.'
'Taste it' Kim replied.
'Are you out of your mind, it's obviously tainted by that damned feed' Suzie snapped.
'Trust me just try it' Kim insisted handing another sample to her twin to try.
Suzie sighed and took a small sip, her eyes widened in surprise at the delicious taste of the milk so rich and creamy that despite herself she took another longer drink. Her taste buds felt like they were exploding with the rich creamy flavour and a shiver went right through her seeming to settle for a pleasurable moment between her thighs before fading.
'Damn this is delicious!' Clair exclaimed downing the rest of her milk in a single swallow 'I don't care what colour it is that stuff has to be the best I ever tasted.'
'Their yield is up to almost double their normal too' Kim said gesturing to the large churn strapped to the milking machine 'If we can just get rid of the weird colour we can make a fortune.'
'Okay' Suzie replied looking excitedly at her sisters 'lets see if we can get rid of it then.'

Over the next week the farm was a hive of activity, the blue tint quickly vanished when pasteurised leaving the rich tingly taste unaffected. The first batches of enriched cheeses were finished and put up to mature while the girls took turns getting the house ready for their mothers return.
The hospital released their mother in a wheelchair with strict orders to rest and attends physiotherapy, the girls did their best to keep their secret but even housebound she soon noticed that something was going on.

'Have you been overfeeding the herd?' she asked curiously one morning 'they look a lot fatter than I remember.'
The girls looked at her guiltily across the kitchen table for a second before Kim answered quickly
'No more feed then usual mom they do look healthy though.' She replied circling the truth after all they hadn't been feeding them any more then normal.
'They certainly do' her mother replied looking out the window towards the cows gathering in the pasture near the milking shed they definitely looked bigger.
Mary didn't add that her daughters were starting to look a little well rounded themselves, in the time she had been in hospital the girls all seemed to have put on more than a few pounds but they certainly looked healthy for it she mused quietly to herself. All three of the Kendal girls looked like they had been off at a health spa rather than doing extra farm work, their hair was glossy and their skin practically glowed with health. More than one local lad noticed the change in the three women and soon they were all receiving more attention than they had in years.
Mary recovered at an extraordinary pace her physiotherapists were most impressed at her progress and soon she was ambling around the farm with a walking stick. She put her rapid progress down to her own stubbornness and her healthy diet, after all milk was supposed to be great for building strong bones and the milk from the farm hadn't tasted so good in years.
Weeks passed and the women of Kendal farm settled back into a normal routine but almost unnoticed changes were slowly occurring. All of them began to put on more weight, not just fat but healthy muscle and the farm chores became almost imperceptibly easier as their strength and stamina improved. Kim in particular seemed to be gaining rapidly her skinny form swelling into growing curves first matching and then overtaking her twin and heading rapidly towards the Rubenesque. As their workload got easier they all started to date more often and soon the girls seldom spent their nights at home vanishing off into town for a little fun.

Things might have continued to change unnoticed for some time further but two events in rapid succession changed all that. First Kendal hill with all its shining modern machinery was shut down suddenly its workers laid off and the cows all culled and shipped away on Lorries to be incinerated.
The next day Mary discovered the hidden feed...

The girls had been sat on the dry stone wall by the end of the farmyard watching the endless succession of trucks coming and going from Kendal Hill as workmen scurried over the site like angry ants shipping out machinery and anything else that could be removed. Men in dark suits guarded the entrance to the farm checking each truck as it departed.
'Andy says the men in the suits are from the EPA' Clare told her sisters.
'Andy just wants in your pants' her twin replied distractedly 'all they were told was the company had been shut down for a serious health and safety violation.'
'Just so long as they don't come over here testing our cows' Suzie said turning to look at the twins 'I'd be willing to bet that damned feed is at the bottom of this.'
'Is there something you want to tell me' their mother asked quietly from behind them making the girls jump in surprise.
'Mom! You scared the life out of me' Suzie said jumping to her feet and turning to meet her mother's angry scowl.
'Don't mom me young lady you have some explaining to do' Mary replied angrily 'I thought I'd best check the inventory with what's going on over the road. Would anyone like to explain why the feed barn is full of unmarked sacks with a few of our usual ones stacked at the front to hide them?'
'I think perhaps this is a conversation best had inside.' Suzie replied.
'I think so too' said

And so it all came out the three sisters taking it in turns to explain; they poured out their worries about losing the farm, the mistake with the shipping document and the effects the feed had on the cows and their milk. Throughout their lengthy confession their mother sat in stony silence waiting until the girls ran out of things to say.
'There are a dozen rumours going around the village about why they are shutting Kendal Hill down but most of them agree that they were doing something illegal. All I know is they don't slaughter hundreds of thousands of pounds worth of prime stock for no good reason. The last time I saw a cull like this it was foot and mouth disease and if your neighbour's cows came down with it they culled your herd too just to be sure to stop it spreading.
You took a stupid risk and now we could lose everything I'd say I was disappointed in you but frankly that doesn't even come close to how mad I am right now.'
'You're not going to tell them are you' Kim asked her face white as a sheet.
'It would be the right thing to do' her mother replied angrily 'for all we know the milk could be tainted with all sorts of chemical crap it could be dangerous.'
'We have all been drinking it and it hasn't done us any harm' Clare said quietly 'if it is the feed then we lose over a months' worth of cheeses and a half dozen of our best milkers it will destroy the farm.'
'Is there anything else you haven't told me' Mary asked eyeing her daughters guilty faces.
'I swear that's all of it' Suzie replied missing the sudden look of guilt that crossed Kim's face.
'Then we dump the feed once they all leave and if anyone ever asks none of this ever happened understood.' their mother replied the look on her face giving no doubt that the conversation was over.

The men in suits lingered for over a week always present as the Kendal Hill farm was stripped to the bone and shipped away in pieces. Rumours spread like wildfire in the close knit rural community, the big industrial farm might not have been well liked but they employed a lot of people who were suddenly struggling and everyone was looking for someone to blame. Eventually the rumours settled into a semi coherent story, the owners of the farm had been conducting some unnamed illegal experiments until someone alerted the EPA. Now the farm manager was in jail awaiting trial (or in protective custody, or found dead in his cell depending on who was telling the story) and the company was trying desperately to deny all knowledge of any wrongdoing.
The ladies of Kendal farm were asked a lot of questions by the village but they denied having any idea what could have happened. As the week went on the each did their best to forget the bags of incriminating feed hidden in their barn, the cows went back in with the rest of the herd and the girls all tried their best stop drinking the milk from the herd.
As the days passed they all started to feel strangely tired and cranky, Kim always the quietest of the family practically disappeared into the loft over the milking sheds where she kept her books refusing to come in for meals and snapping at everyone who tried to disturb her.
With her twin virtually absent Clare took over most of the milking which was slowly turning into a strange form of torture. No matter how much she ate she always seemed to be hungry and the smell of the dairy even the less than fragrant smells of the milking sheds made her stomach rumble and churn.
The scent of milk always an ever present odour on the farm was suddenly irresistible, all of the girls caught themselves stopping and smelling the rich tantalising aroma their stomachs growling with need, one by one the girls caved in and began having a sip or two of that delicious creamy milk after all they had been drinking milk all their lives it hadn't done them any harm... right?
