Chapter 4 - cabinet meeting

When Washington asked how their projects were going at the next cabinet meeting, all four men had different degrees of worried expressions on their faces.

Hamilton and Knox had put a lot of faith in Burr to get Betsy back in shape, but as it currently stood, she was still a fat drunk who scoffed down seafood like the whales she now resembled. So there was still cause for nervousness as they lied to the Commander in Chief, telling him that everything was going according to plan.

Randolph was worried as well after seeing their skinny slave girl no longer resembled any creatures from this continent, yet alone an American woman. The closest beast he could think of to describe what he had seen in that room was an African Hippopotamus. If this had been the Miss African Hippopotamus competition, then maybe they'd have a shot, but since it wasn't, he was sure they would lose to the northern federalists. He hadn't asked Jefferson what he said to the girl behind closed doors, but he hoped he put the fear of God into her to lose weight. Otherwise, their hope of plastering the country with their southern ideal was lost.

Jefferson fidgeted in his seat, unsure what to think. When he laid eyes on Eliza, he felt a reaction like no other. Always an admirer of Nubian flesh, the thickness of her body set her apart from any other woman he had ever seen. He knew that his words to her would lose them the contest, but he couldn't help it. Being in that room with her, he lost all logical reasoning and was driven solely by his lust for the bottom heavy princess. So as Randolph rambled on about how good things were going, Jefferson sat there in silence for the first time since returning home from France in 1789.

Each man went on with their tireless work for the next six months as if everything was normal, yet in the back of their minds, they continued to have creeping doubts about what was happening with their American beauties.

Over a bottle of scotch one night, Hamilton and Knox discussed an exit strategy just in case Burr wasn't able to hold up his end of the bargain. They devised a plan to sabotage the contest that they were sure would be foolproof, yet hoped to not open that can of worms unless absolutely necessary.
