chapter 17 - new habits

R: Hi Marge!
M: goodday Ryan!
R: indeed, It's a great day.
M: okay, and is there some special reason why you're so cheerful today? If I may ask?
R: Well, Luke is back, I enjoy being here, and you seem to have baked a new recipe, what's not to like haha.
M: I made you lunch, because I didn't know if Luke would be back yet, but if you have already eaten, don't mind skipping my stew.
R: Skip your stew? Not in a thousand years! What do you take me for?

Ryan smiled and assured Marge that her cooking was not something he liked to mis. After he had eaten what could be enough for at least two people he wiped his plate with a piece of bread and stifled a belch. Marge looked contented, but finally dared to ask if Ryan had changed his mind about caring what he ate. She saw him eating with such vigor that she just had to know what changed his stance.
Ryan simply answered that he liked her cooking way too much and that he found it a pity that these lunches belonged to the past from now, since Luke was back to take care of him.

M: Well there’s no reason why you should stop eating lunch here before work Ryan. I’ve always had to prepare lunch for Bob, Lilly and myself anyways. And besides that I always enjoy having company of someone who likes my cooking as much as you do. I’ll make sure there’s more than enough.

Sweet! Ryan exclaimed. R: I sure would love to keep eating lunch here instead of having lunch before I come downstairs Marge! And clearly I never doubted the latter hahaha.
That afternoon Ryan was rearranging the shelves in the shop. The displays were neatly set up with complete rows of pastries in clear blocks. He ate the things that ‘didn’t fit’, and was both satisfied and constantly snacking on pastries for that. There were barely any customers so he could keep up with his system until late in the afternoon, when both Lilly and Marge came in and complimented him on his precise work, not knowing what he had done to keep the number of items and lines this straight off course.

Marge carried in another of her test tins loaded with small pies. She sat down in the back office with tea and beckoned Ryan to come in. He devoured one of all sorts without questioning and filled in the lists while talking over tea with Marge. Marge sat there in silence and watched somewhat amazed at what the boy was eating seemingly without being considerate, but decided not to mention anything.

Ryan stayed a little longer after the shop closed and both Lilly and Marge went home. He cleaned the shop and tidied the kitchen, and while doing so he saw something from the corner of his eye. Marge had forgotten to empty the bakery cream machine. He went to look at it and saw there still was a lot of vanilla cream in it. He opened the tap and it pumped a bit in his hand. Mmm this was his absolute favorite. The thought of disposing it gave him the shivers. Another portion went into his mouth, and another.

He looked around as if to make sure he was completely alone and brought his mouth to the tap. It exited him more that he could imagine when he wondered if he would be able to keep up with the machine. He lowered the speed to its lowest, took the nozzle in, and pushed the button again.
He swallowed, and kept gulping the thick vanilla pudding, feeling delighted and… then he stopped. This was awesome! The only thing that interrupted him was is aching hardon. Where did that come from? Why was he so aroused? Het patted his tummy, feeling somewhat filled, but wanting more.
I shouldn’t eat to much he thought, thinking about his upcoming diner with Luke. Just a little more won’t hurt anybody he thought. And so he emptied the machine, taking in more than a remaining liter of the substance. He then felt full but content. Oof, that was a lot of deliciousness. After cleaning the machine he went upstairs taking two leftover boxes with him.

Back home he went outside to relax and digest before Luke would return. An hour and a half later he was on the phone when he heard Luke coming in.
Luke brought in a massive amount of groceries, meant to remake all the prepped meals from his holiday period away. He started cooking immediately and was clearly excited about the whole idea of getting Ryan to eat as much as he did earlier. He kissed Ryan in between his cooking and told him all about his recipes. He set up the table and piled Ryan’s plate high with creamy chicken curry. While almost clearing out his first helping the doorbell rang.

Luke went to see who was ringing, and was surprised to see a smiling delivery boy holding a box, saying this was their ordered Lasagna Lusini. After being slightly convinced he took it in and came back to the kitchen with a somewhat irritated look on his face.

L: I don’t get it. There was this delivery boy bringing this Lasagna something, but I obviously didn’t order anything?!
R: Yea, it’s ok, I did
L: Wait what?! I thought we had agreed to repeat your binge-holiday?
Luke sounded quite disappointed.
R: Yep, and that’s exactly what’s happening according to plan!
He smirked at Luke’s disturbed expression, while unpacking the lasagna, and immediately digging in.
L: Hey, I didn’t cook this whole freaking meal just to let it go to waste!
Ryan muffled with a full mouth; It won’t Luke, I assure you; It won’t.

Luke watched in awe as he saw his homie demolishing this luxury Italian meal that was meant for a small family in nothing less than 15 minutes. He smiled, unbuttoned his trousers, explained he would eat the rest of the curry before bed and waddled off to the couch.
Luke laid next to him while watching TV for a couple of hours, He was amazed by the idea that Ryan had eaten more that he prepared back then. Would there be more of these surprises in the days to come?
