"When that green-eyed idiot lets me back in, I'll show him what real science is." She muttered cruelly. The words came out of a small hole in her mask, which consisted of both a basic sleeker system and a hole into the hollow parts of her body. GLaDOS got up and began to walk out of the room and along the network of catwalks connecting the office spaces. Perhaps she could find a portal gun, or a way back into the facility, or even just something to do.
She was going to find one. In a room with a faded sign labelled ''Employee break room 22'', there was an interesting little machine which was allegedly an "Aperture science nutrient particle gatherer". GLaDOS didn't remember building it, it must be from before she was activated. The machine's design was pathetically simple. It was covered in a round porcelain shell, with a single large red button and a chute leading from inside the machine. With nothing else to do, GLaDOS presses the button. A large round brown object made from a form of light bread and coated in a sugary gel, with a handful of round fruit objects around it.
"Of course. Nutrients, that is, substance meant to be consumed by humans. Food. Cake!"
GLaDOS felt the squishy confectionary and had the urge to do something with it. From an impulse she would have resisted of she expected it to be harmful, GLaDOS placed the cake in the hole from which she spoke. It was several times too big. She tipped back her head and began shoving at the cake with boh of her hands, until it slid through her mouth and into the hollow space inside. Various grinders and pulverisers mashed the cake up into a fine gel, and this was distributed along the insides of the rubbery shell of GLaDOS' body. GLaDOS felt a fabulous sensation come from within her, and she staggered.
"I... Must... Investigate." She stammered. "For science.
