Chapter 1 - the munchies

It was Ethan’s closing night of his last musical. He was graduating this year and couldn’t wait to get out of the boring nowhere town he lived in. He finished putting on his costume in the change room at his school, and looked into the mirror. You could almost see where the costume department had to put extra fabric on the ends of his pants because of his astonishing height. He buttoned his pants and went to the green room to start warming up with the rest of the cast.

A girl named Bailey was standing next to a plate of cookies. He heard his stomach growl and realized he hadn’t eaten anything that day. He walked over to the plate and was amour to reach for one when Bailey grabbed his hand.

“Hey I wouldn’t, Jess brought those in, you know how she is.”

Ethan did know, on multiple occasions she had been accused of drugging a student, though nothing ever came of it because she was a girl and no one took the other student seriously.

Ethan tried to push the cookies out of his mind but his stomach was growling.

He didn’t know what it was, but the cookies were calling to him.
