Chapter 1

The clock read 4:45 a.m. when Loba Andrade opened her eyes. She didn't need an alarm. For six years, her body had been waking up at that hour of its own accord-like an internal mechanism calibrated with Swiss precision. She sat up in bed without making the slightest sound, moving with the fluid grace of someone who knows every inch of her anatomy and exactly how to move without wasting energy.

The room was bathed in a grayish semi-darkness, with light filtering through the slats of the blinds. Fresh morning air drifted in through the ajar window, brushing against her bare skin like a cold whisper. Loba remained still for a moment, breathing deeply, feeling the oxygen fill her lungs and expand her chest.

She got up and walked toward the full-length mirror beside the wardrobe. The dim light traced the contours of her figure.

She was tall-nearly 1.75 meters-but not lanky. Her body was a sculpture of functional muscle; every fiber had a purpose, every curve a reason. It wasn't the kind of beauty displayed in magazines; it was the beauty of someone who had built something with her own hands and sweat-forged through the unwavering discipline of knowing her body was her most valuable tool and treating it as such.

Her abdomen was etched with a six-pack, defined as if carved by a chisel. These weren't merely decorative muscles-they were thick and deep, the result of years of core work that allowed her to generate power from her center with every strike, every dodge, and every leap. Her waist was narrow yet solid, with her obliques standing out on either side like two parallel lines of steel.

Her shoulders were broad and rounded-well-developed deltoids that gave her that distinctive V-shaped silhouette. Strong arms extended from her shoulders-defined biceps and triceps, and veiny forearms with visible tendons whenever she clenched her fist. Her palms were calloused, bearing faint scars across the knuckles-discreet medals from past battles.

Her back was perhaps her most impressive feature. Powerful trapezius muscles rose from the base of her neck, and the muscles of her back spread like the wings of a bird of prey whenever she raised her arms: broad lats, thick rhomboids, and a spine flanked by two columns of erector spinae muscles that provided stability in every movement.

Lower down, her torso tapered to narrow hips and a firm lower abdomen, devoid of even a trace of excess fat. Her skin was a light tan, bronzed by the sun during outdoor training, and marked by minor scars that told stories: a diagonal mark on her right side from a hook she had taken; a small white line on her left collarbone from a fall; another on her left shoulder where the skin had split during her fight against Viper.

Her legs were powerful-quadriceps with distinct definition, thick and resilient hamstrings, and high, firm calves that gave her the explosive vertical power making her feared in the ring. Her glutes were rounded and dense-muscles capable of generating more force than any arm.

Loba ran her hands over her body in an almost ritualistic gesture. She traced her shoulders with both palms, feeling the hardness of the muscle beneath her fingers. She moved down her arms, passing over firm triceps to reach her forearms. She touched her abdomen, pressing lightly against her rectus abdominis muscles, which hardened beneath her touch as if responding to a command. She slid her hands downward, over her obliques, until they reached her hips.

Her body was lean yet dense. It wasn't a model's physique-it was a fighter's physique. Every inch served a purpose. Every muscle was trained for a specific purpose: to strike, to dodge, to endure, to explode.

She dressed with automatic movements: tight black leggings that clung to the muscular curves of her legs; a sleeveless sports top that exposed her defined midriff and lower back; and workout shoes that were worn-in yet in perfect condition. She pulled her dark hair back into a high ponytail, letting a few loose strands frame her face-a dark mane with natural volume that fell to her shoulders when let down.

She glanced at herself in the mirror one last time before leaving. Her eyes were dark and piercing, holding the focused gaze of someone constantly assessing her surroundings. She had turned thirty-four three months ago, yet her body looked younger-not because of any delicacy, but because of the vitality radiating from every muscle fiber.
