Chapter 1 - Introdution

This is the story of two friends, Marta and Sara, who loved outdoor sports. They met while they were at university, and having this common interest brought them close together. After finishing their studies, they decided to take a trip to Alaska, which would take them a couple of months to complete. They planned to spend several months camping and discovering the Inuit villages that live there.

For this adventure, they needed to get in better shape than they already were. Sara weighed 108 lbs at 5'2" and had dark blonde hair, while Marta had dark hair and skin, weighed 119 lbs at 5'5". Both girls were in peak condition, with not an ounce of fat on their bodies and visible abs.

They flew to Alaska around October with the intention of staying there until March, when the cold would start to ease.

The plane dropped them off in Palmer, and from there, they began their journey on foot.

Days went by normally, with long hikes during the day, setting up camp at night, and enjoying the views of the northern lights in the sky. The girls were having a great time.

After a few weeks, the girls settled in an Inuit camp where a young man acted as their translator. After a few days, one night, the locals began to share legends that had been passed down through generations. One legend in particular piqued the girls' curiosity. It went like this: There is an entity deep in the forest, very hospitable, always taking good care of its guests who are usually women. The entity appears as a strong, handsome man, a typical rugged guy. No one knows what happens inside that cabin; however, none of the women who have entered the cabin have been heard from again. There was one woman who managed to leave, but she was not the same. In fact, it could be said that the girl hadn't gone hungry... The girl thought she had been there for a couple of days, but she had been missing for six long months. So, we think the maximum time for someone to be saved is six months; beyond that, no girl has ever returned.

The girls dismissed it as old wives' tales and legends with no real significance. One of the older women pointed at them and said, "You don't play with the ghosts of the forest. They hear everything, and sooner or later, the forest will claim its due." The girls laughed it off and paid no mind.

The next morning, the girls left the camp, but before they departed, the oldest woman warned them to be careful.
