chapter 2

Part One - January 15 - Fry's POV

Despite me hyping about living on our first visit, I started being more aware of how big the portion sizes were before ordering. My stomachache was monstrous. It was excruciating to deal with. But Kayden didn't seem to care too much. He still ate his normal steady amount that he had always been doing.
Taylor and Eliza's first visit to the diner. Eliza is a strict believer on "Nothing goes to waste" so when she couldn't finish her pasta, she forced Taylor to eat it all, even though he was already stuffed from eating an entire pizza. Needless to say, Taylor experienced a similar pain of overeating as I did.
After the first week of being there, they finally started to offer sweets in the diner. After our meals, we would share a cake, a box of doughnuts, or some pie. So far, all we'd been doing is eating and hanging out; it was starting to bore us. The climate got a little cooler, so we wouldn't be able to swim or enjoy the outside of the resort.
"There's gotta be something we could do," Eliza complained.
"Yea, you can only do so much during the winter in a resort," I said. "They must've thought of this somehow."
"I don't know why you guys are complaining," Kayden said with a mouthful of food. "The food here is delicious. I can eat all day long."
"You do eat all day long," Taylor said. "It's starting to show too."
"For you too, Mr. Hercules," Kayden smiled. "Have you even entered the gym since we got here." Taylor was silent. "It's starting to show."
"Hey, chill," Eliza said. "Let's figure out what to do."
The night was boring. There was nothing surprising that happened at all. We all decided to sleep earlier to avoid being even more bored.

Part Two - January 18 - Fry's POV

Kayden and Taylor were not the only who had gained any weight. Eliza and I ( me more than Eliza) had gained our fair share of weight as well. While Eliza went straight to the gym with Taylor when she had realized, I didn't mind and stuck with Kayden.
"How much do you weigh now?" Kayden asked me.
"Last time I checked I was 178. That was before we got here."
"Well let's see how much you weigh now!" He slapped my belly and smiled.
We went to the bathroom and pulled out the scale. I weighed myself: 187 pounds.
"Nice. Nine pounds. Not too bad."
"Thanks, I guess."
""Let's celebrate! Let's go have feast!"
Of course that's what he would want to celebrate with, I thought.
I tried to eat just enough for my stomach not to hate me, but Kayden plowed through whatever he laid his eyes on. I wondered whether he was immune from stomachaches, because he never seemed to have an off button. Something I didn't seem to mind.
