Chapter 16 - interlude part seven

Part One - June 2 - Taylor's POV

Toko: "Hey, Tay. I've got a question for ya."
I decided not to respond until she called me by my proper name.
Toko: "Hey, Tay! Tay, Tay, Tay, Tay, Tay, Tay!" She let out a huge sigh. "Taylor."
Taylor: "Yes?"
Toko: "Good god, you're annoying. I've got a question for ya."
I'm the annoying one?
Taylor: "Which is?"
Toko: "How much weight have you gained sine you've gotten on this island?"
Taylro: I dunno, maybe around 50 pounds?"
Toko: "Whoa! It's been half a year and you've gained all that much?"
Taylor: "Well, yea. What did you expect? I'm no loser."
Toko: "Debatable. Anyway, look! I've got a request for you but I'm not sure if you can handle it."
Taylor: "What's up?"
Toko: "It's eating related."
Taylor": "Heh, and you think I can't handle it?"
Taylor: "Not that you can't handle it, but I just had a feeling that Keaton would have done a better jo-"
Taylor:"What's your request?"
Toko: " I need you to gain thirty pounds by the end of the month. If you succeed, I'll let you know what my request is. We got a deal?"

While I didn't show it, I felt a great deal of pressure instilled upon me. Thirty pounds? That was more than half of what I gained in over the past six months.

Toko: "The only reason I even came to ya to ask this about was because of Eliza. She really does believe in you."
Taylor: "well, I'd hope so."
Toko: "God, why can't you say something witty for a change? Always such stiff replies. Anyway, gotta go! Ciao!"
And immediately, she took off, bursting through the door.

Part Two - June 3 - Taylor's POV

Not even a day had passed, and I already got to work on Toko's request. Usually, for breakfast I'd consume a hearty meal of around 1500 calories or more, but this time he exceeded 2000 and began to snack on some doughnuts after he finished his "modest" banquet. Yes, Taylor felt incredibly bloated, but if he wanted to prove to not only Toko but also to Eliza that he would be able to gain that desirable 30 pound mark, he had to ignore the pain, plow through insurmountable amounts of food, and sip on his shakes.
