Chapter 16 - saying goodbye

I nodded and stood up and walked over to the button I very gingerly bent over to pick up the button and then put it in my pocket I then went and sat down on the bed with anna again.
I then quickly stood up again as a nurse walked in so that my buttons didnt gape quite as much. The nurse checked anna over and then was just walking out of the door when anna said "do you have any paper and a pen I could use?"
"yes" the nurse walked over to a printer at the other side of the room and pulled out a piece of paper she then came over to he bed and handed it to anna hen got a pen out of her pocket and gave that to anna too. "thanks" anna said.
Anna put the paper on her bed side table and started writing and drawing lines on it. From where I was sat it looked to be some sort of grid,she carried on scribbling words down. She handed me the piece of paper.
"whats this?" I asked.
"A meal plan" she stated.
I studied the piece of paper she handed me.
"each box on each day has 3 meals to choose from you have to pick at least 2 from the 3 you wont need to cook because its all fast food and when your not eating sleep or sit."
"but what about work?"
"ask my dad if you can have the next 2 weeks off"
"ok... do you really think after eating two large meals im going to be able to have a snack between them?" I asked realising that there was a box between the meals listing yet more food.
"oh yea sure you can you used to eat like that before"
"but that was 3 months ago"
"aww is my baby scared of a little food?" she cooed
"no" I said sounding a little more childish than id liked.
"right well evey time you are about to eat I want you to send me a picture of the food before you have eaten it and after so that I know your eating"
"ok" I said plainly thoughts racing through my head on how I was going to cram all of this food inside of me.
The doctor came in and started talking to anna he had just got the results for her brain scan and he said "hi anna your brain scan just came back and you have damaged one of the lobes on your brain. In order for this to be healed you may not eat so you will be placed on a drip there are other parts of the brain that is damaged too and they will be fixed by ensuring no one visits you for the next month and doctor visits will be limited. Is it ok if we start treatment immetietly?"
my face dropped I thought I almost had her back now I was going to have to leave her here for another month?
"well I need that so yes it is ok let me just say bye to my boyfriend and then you can start"
the doctor left the room.
"so ill see you in a month then" I said
"see you in a month don't forget about the meal plan you need to follow it im expecting changes when you come back"
ill follow it dont worry" a tear crept into my eye and escaped, rolling down my face
"awww come here" she said she hugged me tight and I kissed her forehead the doctor walked in. its time for you to go now. I picked up my meal plan and walked out of the room.
