Claire's fattening life as maryanne

Chapter 8

“685...my daughter is 685 pounds…,” she said as she fainted to the floor.

“Well, you knew I was 600, but I knew I was past that late last week,” Maryanne said as she was grinning from ear to ear, “Wait until Austin gets home! He’s gonna be so happy! I’ll reach 700 by Christmas Eve!”

“What about reaching 700?” Austin asked as he was bringing in food for dinner.

“I’m 685, honey! I’ll be at 700 by Christmas Eve, and 750 by the New Year’s!” Maryanne said as she sat back on the couch, “I don’t think my mom liked that idea though. She was wanting me to back home with her.”

“Like you ever would! I’m soo proud of you, Maryanne! I’m glad I got this extra cake today. We can celebrate now!” Austin exclaimed as he hugged his glutton of a wife and kissed her.

“What in heaven’s name is going on here? Is this all a dream?” Maryanne’s mom said as she came to.

“Nope. You heard us right. We’re aiming for 750 by the end of the year, and you can’t stop it from happening,” Austin said as he helped her up into a recliner in the living room, “I invited you as our guest for the holidays to spend it with your daughter. At least accept her as she is now.”

“NEVER! Not like this!” Maryanne’s mom said as she reached her cell phone, “I’m calling a taxicab. I’m going home. My daughter is dead to me. She destroyed herself by eating herself to death. At least I got to see what her future is going to be consisting of: food.”

“Mom, don’t do this. I’m still your daughter.”

“My daughter would be picking colleges with a full cheerleading scholarship, not here becoming a human blimp with no education.”

“I actually got my high school diploma through the mail a few months back. I just choose to live this way instead of wasting 4 years of college cheerleading. I mean, if living this way means I lose my own mother forever, than so be it.”

“Damn right it does. Austin, you and that overgrown glutton have a nice life here. I hope she crushes you with her fat while she gets a heart attack, then be in hell, rotting and burning away together,” Maryanne’s mother said as she got in the taxi and left.

“Well, I guess we have more food now for the holidays, “ Austin said as he prepared dinner.

“That means we get to our goal much faster, babe,” Maryanne said as she was going to the bedroom, “I’ll be taking my pre-dinner nap now. Wake me when you’re done with it.”
