Am i overthinking this?

This has happened to me about 3 times in the past year and its gotten to the point if its just a coincidence or if I'm actually right

So ive gone to many dinners and I'm slowly starting to realize that I'm getting to big for most restaurant booths and I either struggle to seat myself or just dont fit at all.

Ive gone to a few restaurants with friends who are pretty skinny so I'm pretty much double triple their size. There were 3 instances where I went with friends and whenever they were going to ask us if we wanted a booth or a table ,I was always to one being directly asked that question.

By the third time that happen,I was beginning to suspect hat they knew I was too big to fit in the booths but I couldn't tell if I was just overthinking. Regardless if the waiter was asking me on purpose or not,I appreciate them trying to accommodate my size

If you are a waiteris or were one before,I would definitely like some responses from you guys

brother you are overthinking it people are asking you because you are big and want you to feel comfortable. If you can’t fit you can’t fit and there’s nothing more to it. It happens all the time when I’m out to eat and I always say table.

Same here. I am clearly not booth material and they just want to be polite and confirm that.

My partner is a belly heavy 400+ lbs. Every time we go out to dinner, the waiter/host always asks if we want a table or a booth.

My partner always picks the booth because the places we go have moveable tables and I don't need much space to spread out.

Also, and I cannot stress this enough, the want you to have a good time. It's better for everyone - especially them - if you have a good time. A happy customer is a pleasant customer and one that is more likely to leave tips and a good review.

You are over thinking.
I like when a server asks that question.
My BF is 350+ and I weigh more than him so its obvious a table not a booth.

Yea I am starting to get into that realm of not being able to fit in boots unless the table moves. Usually I am alone, so I usually sit at the bar as not to take a table just for me. When I get asked that question I am leaning more toward tables. Also most of the woman I date a large women so I want them to be comfortable.

Overthinking yep, it’s an option so they offer it.

If the table moves I take booth as most chairs are to small, and arm rests grrrrrrr…. Should be banned.

All restaurants need to have two or three 400 to 500 lb friendly seats.

I make it a point to ask, as unless you point these things out they will never think of it themselves.

Having said no place I go to has ever done anything. So it’s often pointless.

you would think that they would think ahead and have chairs for customers who spend more than others

How would that work?

We make it a habit to frequent the same places and clue our favorite staff on needs. While it may seem.odd, it does help with seating options without question.
