Fat experiences

Outgrow seating

Does anyone else struggles with certain chairs. I noticed that my hips just spill out of the sides now. If they are completely closed sometimes it’s really uncomfortable sitting in them since I just get squeezed in it so much. Also in a booth my belly sometimes is in the way so certain seats just aren’t comfortable anymore.

I definitely notice that so many booth tables are way too close to the seat, so they don't leave room for the belly!

Ugh, yes! Chairs with arms are the enemy. I am very pear-shaped with wide hips and huge thighs, so fitting in chairs can be difficult.

My favorite Korean BBQ restaurant has the most awful chairs that dig painfully into my thighs and hips. Fortunately, they’ve always been willing and able to provide a chair without arms when I ask for one. You would think restaurant owners would figure out that fat people are likely to buy more food…

I usually grab a table instead of a booth in restaurants. For me, it’s about my back, not so much my stomach. The back cushions in booths are usually far too straight-up vertical for my back. I like to be reclined slightly when I eat. Same for when I drive. Granted, my basketball belly isn’t exactly “huge,” but it’s big enough to want to recline :-)

Table emphasis goes double for my wife. Her luscious figure sure doesn’t deal well with booth tables that don’t even offer enough space for thin people, much less larger people! :-)

Honestly, the fact that my butt doesn't fit in chairs and I have to sit on more than one is a fantasy that really turns me on. You know, for example, arriving at a waiting room and having to sit on two seats because of my fat butt. It's something I'd definitely like to experience one day.

Does it ever make you not want to go? or more of the opposite?

If a restaurant’s chairs don’t fit the first time I go there, I politely ask the server for a chair without arms. If they provide one without being rude, I’ll stay and eat there. If they don’t have an appropriate chair or they cop an attitude, I leave.

The Korean BBQ place is always willing to accommodate me, they’re very nice about it, and the food is fantastic. So I keep going back.

Yes…. I’ve also been noticing more “problems” with chairs in the past few months….. most noticeably at older theaters ….My expanding hips need more room! Haven’t sat in a booth now for almost 2 years!

Try the AMC dine-in theaters. The seats are bigger, more comfortable, and they serve you whatever you want!

Honestly even as someone who hasn't outgrown most seating I prefer to go to theaters like that. Though I usually go to Alamo Drafthouse, they have the best Mexican vanilla milkshake

How much does all that cost?

i am over 150 kgs and most seating are usually up to that weight here. it is harder to find things like desktop chairs or even matresses, also since some people mentioned them, i am starting to fit tightly in theater seat, i was about to complain about them making them narrower last time, but then i thought "i am probably fatter than the last time i came here and this may be me"
