yes, we've had quite a few meet-ups here in toronto over the years. check the "events" forum for notices of that sort of thing.

they seemed to happen every three or four months before the pandemic, and less frequently now (maybe once a year). i'm not sure if that is just something that is unique to this city, or if it's a general trend?

Yes just twice in life, one on phone. Nothing came of it, guess I was not want they wanted.

Yes, I have met two people on this website. With the first we had a complete date, and he decided we were not compatible. With the second man, he was such a jerk, I walked off on him after half an hour. We didn't even eat together.

we lived near each other though and didnt know each other.
when he found out my name in here, he would chat with me and we would role play.
when i found out i had mixed feelings.

but since then i know he has made up other accounts and messaged and chatted with me and role played

I only ever met with someone I met online and that was when i was 11.
it could have been a disaster but my BFF came with me and literally saved me.

The guy told me we went to the same MS together and we picked a saturday to meet.
I got there early but he had gotten there earlier.
when my BFF saw what was going on she grabbed my arm and literally pulled me in the bathroom and we stayed there till he left.
We talked on Chatavenue.... and i was stupid and gave out personal information.

maybe its safer to meet as adults?
