Difficulties of 300+ pound body and how can a partner help?

curiousv:
This is a very broad topic.

And some people start experiencing very heavy limitations even at 250 pounds, while others remain very active and flexible even at 500+.

This is very true. I'm currently around 360 and still fairly strong and mobile. A few difficulties have been developing in the last year or so, though.

Restaurant booths and chairs: Before taking your partner to a new restaurant, take a look at the seating arrangements. Most chairs with arms are uncomfortable for me, since I tend to gain weight in my lower half (hips/butt/thighs). And booths can sometimes be a tight squeeze. Hot, but pressure on my belly isn't conducive to filling it all the way.

Cars: I can squish myself into a compact car if I have to, but it's not very comfortable. Larger vehicles fit me better. People who gain primarily in the belly may have an easier time with this.

Air travel: I'll definitely have to get two seats if I ever fly again. If you're booking a flight for you and your partner, check their policy toward "customers of size". Southwest is pretty good about it. Again, people with most of their weight in the belly might be good with just a seatbelt extender. My problem is wide hips and butt.

Feet: It's getting harder to deal with shoes and cut/paint my toenails as my belly grows. I can do it, it's just a pain. If I had an SO who offered to help me it would be amazing!

Stuff on the floor: My new weight distribution is kind of throwing off my balance. Again, I can pick things up off the floor or scrub the floor, it's just harder. I would happily trade other chores for an SO to scrub the floor for me.

Furniture: Sturdy furniture is more expensive, sadly, but it would do wonders for my peace of mind. I keep wondering when my cheap office chair and IKEA armchair are going to break. Pretty sure neither of them was intended to hold 300+ pounds on a regular basis! Plus my hips are now overflowing the armchair.

Walking together: Please slow down a bit and don't be surprised if your partner wants to pause for a quick break now and then. You would think this was obvious, but considering how many friends and family members have left me in the dust, it's apparently not.

What type of massage do u prefer?

Deep tissue all the way! I have chronic tension and pain in my shoulders and upper back. In that area I like my massage therapist to go as hard as they can. In the rest of my body I prefer a more moderate pressure, but still deep tissue. Mmm, it hurts so good when a strong massage therapist digs their thumb or elbow into a big muscle knot!

First time waddling?

I clearly remember the first time I noticed myself waddling. It was a couple years ago, so maybe in the late 200s as far as pounds go. A much thinner friend and I were going to the mall. As we approached those shiny reflective glass doors, I was shocked. Not only was I an enormous blimp compared to my slim friend, I was waddling! Just slightly, but it was clear to my eyes that I was starting to develop the gait of true obesity.

Two years on, my waddle has progressed a bit further. I can still move at a decent clip if I need to, but I can't keep it up nearly as long as I could before I started gaining.

Are you the fattest person you personally know?

Among my friends, absolutely! None of them even come close. Among family... one of my aunts and one of my uncles are also quite fat, I don't know exactly how much they weigh though.

Common misconceptions about feederism

People seem to think that all feeders are dom and all feedees are sub. While this is often the case, some people are the opposite, and some aren't into d/s play at all.

Weight gain

It was a very gradual process for me. I just really love to eat, and after two years of strict dieting, the feeling of a full belly was (and still is!) nirvana. So is the freedom to eat what I choose to eat, in the amounts I choose, when I choose.

There's also the fact that I found being thin to be uncomfortable. My body had more hard edges, sitting in class or on road trips was much less comfortable since I had lost my natural seat cushion, I felt vulnerable and cold being smaller.

And then there was the way people treated me. Strangers were so much nicer, men hit on me, and all I could think of was "You are a shallow bunch of assholes, aren't you?". I resented the fact that the only way these people would treat me with courtesy was if I was conventionally pretty.

So I didn't exactly try to gain but I didn't try not to gain, either. Since I love food and have a hard time exercising in the heat, I slowly went from thick to chubby to fat. Last year I decided to see if I enjoyed feedism and deliberately gaining. I was already fat after all. Turns out I like being a feedee!

Bra-shopping with the wife....

It's awful trying to find fat lady bras that fit and don't cost a fortune! Check Lane Bryant and Torrid around January, their bras usually go on sale then. Also check at the end of a season if your wife is okay with seasonal colors and prints, those go on sale when the store needs to make room for the new season's stuff.

Are there any submissive feeders?

Hey, a fellow dominant feedee! It's rare to see someone like me. smiley

The sensations of fatness

Not just jiggling, although jiggling is delightful. Things like the feeling of my soft, heavy belly resting on my thighs and touching my desk as I type. My double chin creasing and bulging as I move my head. Resting my arms and hands on my upper belly roll. These are all sensations that really bring home how incredibly fat I am! Things you don't experience as a thin person, they are unique to being fat.

Which fat sensations are your favorite?

Foods that make gainers feel healthy?

I second what everyone else has said about fruits, veggies, and whole grains! That's how I've been eating to both feel good and try to keep the scourge of diabetes away. Another thing you can try is fruit smoothies. Get a bunch of frozen fruit (Trader Joe's usually has some) and chuck it in a blender with some vanilla or fruit flavored ice cream. Super simple, fast, tasty, and full of nutrients!

Oh, try to get plenty of protein and calcium too. The baby will take those out of your body to fuel growth, so you need to keep putting them back in. Particularly the calcium.
