I am sure more people would pay for FF if they could block the endless waves of harassment they get online on a daily basis.
Who wants to pay to get attacked in DM's and messaged on chat constantly without being invited?
No one.

It's always good to see the psychopaths on this site getting along.
Dorian. You'll always be a loser. Your stories are terrible. You claim they are true but we both know they aren't
The only people who believe they are the ones you lie to.
You love being the literal center of attention.
I know for a fact you've never had a GF. I know you lie.
I know all you do is lie. You are a writer and a psychopath. Of course, you're going to lie.
In real life, off the screen. I know for a fact you can barely talk to women.
I know that when you meet a fat woman in real life you cringe, but your mind makes up another lie and thinks "Well, people on FF, the only place I can get attention," will love a story like this.
You're an empty shell, Dorian.
This whole forum charade was for attention, you saw a chance to become the center of it and took it.
Just like any good parasite without someone caring about you, you're nothing. You need that energy. You need people to hate you.
Anyone with a brain, however, could never hate you.
No. We will only feel sorry for you. I know YOU won't care. You live through your stories about people who will never even know your name or remember you exist.
But then again, it really isn't about you anymore.
Your words are poison. But I know the truth. You're empty inside, and poison is the only way you know how to get people to even look at you.
So keep writing your stories, keep doing what you do.
It's literally all you have left in the whole world.

Jason, is that you?

I'm surprised that no one has noted that all of this began once the 'premium' stories started squatting on the front page of the stories section. Having just taken a look, five out of the ten stories on the first page are 'premium' - often with very few likes or views.
Having only five spaces for everyone else is clearly going to cause arguments - and already is...
I don't like the tactic of asking for likes, but I can understand why people do it. Can't we just shift the premium stories to their own little subgroup, or make the first page a little longer?
Or why don't you just pay a little bit to support the site so you can keep coming here and support the people who are actually trying to make something of themselves?
You could do that too.

If you're more worried about the reception of the work rather than doing it. Maybe you shouldn't be writing stories to begin with or sharing them.
This is a massive site. Lots of people are posting stuff all the time. The fact it disappears the day you post it is to be expected. That's how it works on FF.
If you want people to see your work. You're going to have to do more than just "Demanding more likes for people to see more"
It's called marketing.
Don't expect it to be easy if you want people to read your stuff on their own. Once it slips off the front page it is up to you to keep it in people's minds.
You're not that special. If you WANT to be special, you need to do the work and earn it. Just don't expect it to be easy.
A reader should never care how much work you did to make this story, how many hours, how many sleepless nights to try to make it "Perfect"
All they should do is enjoy it. If they don't well, sometimes that happens, too.
Never hold art hostage in demand for attention. People can always read something else, but they won't forget how you acted.
Just write, release, write some more until you get sick of it or run out of ideas. Don't punish readers because they didn't react the way you wanted.
We're all adults here. Right?

No.
The intention being that six years ago there would be more people actually into that sort of thing.
Fantasy is one thing but there were a lot more people into the concept, the idea, practice.
I was saying that FF is just kind of a dead place now for that kind of stuff.
Six years too late!
I never said it was bad or not good or wrong or anything. Not at all. I am totally on your side.
I just remember things is all. I'll go now. :-)

O.o Uhhhh...
lol.
That's not what I meant.

No one on this site has the patience for that anymore.
You're about six years too late!

I always find it funny all these people into this stuff....who are connected to people who don't have a clue or might even be disgusted by it.
I settled once, had a relationship and everything. It lasted a long time. It lasted until I told her about all of this.
Eight year relationship was dead in a month. She just couldn't handle it.
I won't do that ever again. If I ever meet anyone again I'm going to make sure they know about this right off the bat, it'll save a lot of time and hardships.
Good luck.

I'd say about 75% of the on here are in relationships with non-feeders. For most people this is just a secret thing they do. They'd never admit it to anyone, ever.
This is also why most people do the online thing only and ghost out on you at a moment's notice if things get too close to being discovered on their end.
I mean I get it, but it's also pretty frustrating.
