After having installed the website on the new server, I took a final backup of the old website and transferred it across. This was done at the 11th hour to minimise data loss, unfortunately however any any updates made to the old website after this backup will have been lost.

Unfortunately this is just routine decommissioning of and old server by the hosting company. Necessary but annoying since it’s been quite a task reinstalling everything on the new machine.

This website will be moving servers on 4-5th October which may result in some disruption to the website.

A small amount of data will be lost, from the time of the last backup to the time of moving. I’ll try to keep this period as short as possible and should be no more than a few hours.

All traffic from the old server will be redirected to the new server, however a few people may find themselves with cached pages or flitting from one server to the other for a short while. Refreshing your browser should sort out most of these issues.
