Gaining more than you intended

Is there anyone out there who had set a goal for themselves, hit it and then exceeded it without meaning to? I've always wanted to be 300lbs and I'm not far from it now, I know once I get there I'll be happy with myself but I don't think I can stop, I'm so used to overeating and gaining that I think it may continue. Anyone else exceed their goals by a lot? How does it feel?

Clothes are getting smaller!!

One of the best things about gaining is going up a size in clothes. I currently wear 2XL (UK sizes) t shirts. I remember when I got my first XL t shirt, it was so baggy compared to the tight large t shirts I was wearing. I stayed that size for a while until I found a t-shirt that I really liked that only had a 2XL in stock and I got it. It was kinda big on me but fit very well! I eventually got too fat for XL. My excuse to buy more 2XL clothes were "they shrink in the wash"! Well, a lot of my 2XL clothes have "shrunk in the wash" lately, time to move up to 3XL maybe!!
What size clothes do you guys wear?

How to get parents to buy a better scale

mike13:
Well what I have dome the last few years is go to the machines that measure your height/weight, blood pressure etc. Like you I'm from Northern Ireland, so there should be some in shopping centres, close to the toilets (thankfully the one I use is in a quieter shopping centre). That prints out a receipt of all your details. I find this helps, as I eclipsed the 20 stone Mark a couple of years ago. These machines are in most chemists too, you probably know about them, but it handier than buying your own scale. Although i saw one in my workplace which goes up to over 28 stone!! (It was a Weight watchers one)

Out of curiosity, which shopping centres have you used? The only ones I can think of would be big ones and be pretty busy!

How to get parents to buy a better scale

So, I live with my parents, which is tough when you're a gainer. They don't really mention my weight much. They can tell I've gotten a lot bigger recently but seem to keep quiet about it (at least to my face). Problem is, I love the scales. An extra pound makes my day. Haven't weighed myself in a while but I did today and the screen went blank. Turns out, the limit is 20.5 stone (287lbs which I was at last time I weighed in before Christmas!). I need one that can handle more weight, but the scale is fine for them as they weigh far less than me. Any ideas on what to do? Thanks!

Gaining weight while everyone is losing weight

BigbellyJ:
It seems everyone I know has been losing weight while I've been gaining it and just not during the winter. I'm now the fattest person in my immediate family, all the chubby girls I know have lost weight, and the morbidly obese guy I work with had weight loss surgery and I might be over 200 by next month.

equivalentexchange:
Intriguing. Has anyone commented on this reversal of... rolls? Thats probably the most triggering aspect of this fetish for me - the reverse contrast: when existing health contrasts are inverted and the fat people get thinner and the thin people get fatter.

I experienced something similar to this. When I went to school, I was skinny. There was a kid in my class who was very obese. My guess is if he was still fat he'd be about 400lbs now at around 5 foot 8 (roughly). He's not the only one. As my weight has gone up, I've watched so many people's weight go down. Sad, but makes me feel bigger as there ain't many gainers where I am!

Gaining weight while everyone is losing weight

I love this time of year. Everyone's "so fat" after Christmas from eating like we all do on a daily basis for a week or 2. They put an extra few pounds and begin to act as if the world is ending. They cut out all the bad food and start eating good again, exercising to get rid of the Christmas weight. Being the only gainer I know personally, I feel extra fat whenever everyone else I know is eating good and I'm still eating fast food 5-6 times a week and slowly getting bigger every day as they're struggling to get rid of their Christmas weight!!

Introduction/ say hi thread

I'm a 20 year old gainer from Belfast in Ireland, not that many of us here!! I've been dreaming of being fat ever since I can remember. Finding this community has been the best thing that has ever happened to me. Knowing that I'm not alone in wanting to be fatter made me feel like I wasn't that weird! My original goal was always 300lbs and I'm around 285/290 now and I don't feel fat enough at all. 350lbs minimum for me I think!!

Warnings gaining maybe addicting

I think it's addicting. I'm sure there's plenty of gainers out there that had a certain goal and went over it because they couldn't stop. I've gained about 60lbs so far and plan to gain at least another 80lbs and by the time I've done thY I don't see how I could just maintain that weight, I'd naturally keep getting bigger because I just can't stop myself.

What weight did you guys finally feel happy with your body?

TJluvsbgbllys:
I haven't gotten to my happy weight yet. At my biggest I was 275 and loving not only how much I could eat, but the frequency that I could eat it. I had stretched my stomach and increased my appetite to eat huge meals every 2 hours. Based on how my fat was distributing itself, I would've had nice, hanging apron below a big double belly. My goal was around 400-425 lbs. But, high cholesterol and pre-type 2 diabetes forced me to drop back to 185. Once my cholesterol and blood sugar get figured out, I plan to gain again!!!

becomingoverweight:
I suggest you try to gain less visceral fat next time around so you don't develop metabolic syndrome again.

How would one do this?

What's your favorite part of being obese?

I love outgrowing things. Being too big for things. My whole wardrobe has completely changed in the last 2 years. I still have some tight clothes so I can wear them and walk about feeling 50 lbs fatter lol.
