Maybe it's just because I'm also tall, but mobility is a 5 or 6 I guess, and fitting in things is a 7.

too fat to run?
There is an inevitable inertia to being that heavy, and it only increases with weight. Even in shape, people aren't made to lug around 300-, 400-, 500-pound plus bodies.

gaining muscle and fat quick?
I'm not exactly sure, but I would say lift weights and do nothing else exercising, and then eat a lot of fast food for visceral hard fat.

If you get past 300 or so, you won't be running regularly anymore. It would be too cumbersome and awkward.

how to avoid rushing the gain
Be aware of your intake and calorie needs. This is also true of getting fatter past a point. You need more sustaining calories surprisingly quick.

what little differences have you noticed recently?
The usual: pants getting tighter, hunger and stomach capacity going up. I actually did the math yesterday, while trying to remain overfull all day, I ate over 7000 calories.
