And just to note one more time- there was a meeting to address how best to deal with complaints about this change and what was settled on was the hostility that we've seen from most of the moderat
And it might be feedback on a state of transition, but why does that mean the feedback has to be ignored?
You had just as much notice as everyone else, sure, but that somehow makes it not bad? If anything, you guys should be even angrier.
Nick: And yet it was done with no announcements, no indication that it was a short term fix, and all feedback on it has been ignored and silenced by the moderators. How is this productive?
I seriously find it hard to believe that there was a discussion between hiccupx and the mods to figure out the best way to address complaints and THIS is what you came up with.
Do you seriously not understand this? That the way that you are behaving is not working to reduce the complaints or make anything better?
The way in which people are approaching the situation is a direct result of a sudden, unannounced change (until after people started complaining about it) and a hostile, oppressive moderator response.
...think it's the same people bringing up the same complaints, they wouldn't be complaining so much if what they said was addressed in a way other than "stop talking about it"
I brought it up with him. I've been encouraging others to bring it up with him. And people are still being suspended and treated in a hostile manner by moderators. It doesn't matter if you
This is why I've been encouraging others to PM him about it, only to be told to stop as I was asking them to spam his inbox- which I wasn't implying at all.
I did PM hiccupx. What I got was a vague response that didn't really say anything and felt like it came from someone who wasn't listening to the public complaints.
...who are complaining about the changes and the way that they've been done and most importantly the often-hostile responses to that feedback?
Perhaps instead of commenting on how the chat is running so well now (with its sharp decline in users), why not try to work with the members...
You call this running smooth? Members bringing up complaints- yet again- and being suspended for it? How are the members who are dissatisfied the problem here?
Instead of going on strike, PM hiccupx and explain why it is that you don't like the time limit. That's the only way that it's got a chance of changing.
...allowed to be voiced. This is what I've been saying all along, in the threads about this topic that get closed or deleted.
That's what I'm saying to do, is to PM hiccupx. And it might be a privately owned site, but it's going to lose members- and especially its PAYING members- if our concerns aren't allow
...instead of just griping here. And since we can't discuss it in the forums, what other method of feedback do we have?
I sent him a well-worded message and received a response that was outright dismissive. He's not going to see the complaints in the shoutbox, so people should write well-worded messages to him ins
