Chapter 5 - testing the waters

As soon as he got home, Red signed into Feedist Life and checked the thread. New reply.
"Let us all know if you do. Lol x." GainerSofi.
"Damn. No reply. She probably has a life." He looks around his living room at a little pile of plates and the glowing television. "maybe I should have a life." He sighed al well, might take a run to clear my head."

Red only ran three miles today. He got a stitch pretty soon after leaving the house. "must have been the crap food. Thought it would have given me some energy" he thought.

limping home, feeling slightly sorry for himself, he passed the pizza parlour takeaway, he looked at the menu briefly. He had enough loose change for a medium margarita. He sighed "why not? I tried to run at least."

The cashier looked slightly taken aback to see a man in running clothes order a pizza, but still took the order. Red sat and waited for ten minutes, watching the chefs talk to each other in an indistinguishable eastern language. When the pizza was made, he collected it and walked the rest of the route back home.

He thought more about checking the phone to see if there was a reply on the forum, but did not want to allow himself to get too obsessive about it. He'll have dinner, shower and watch some dumb show on the television.

He ate the pizza with his last beer. It was cut into twelve pieces. He started to struggle after the first half, he already felt full from a larger than normal lunch, but he paid for it and it was delicious. He could feel his stomach swelling. Being too full was a relatively rare experience for him, but he kept going. It didn't feel as heavy inside him as expected. He managed to get through it whilst the television kept him distracted. He let out a little burp after the beer and just sat back to digest.

Half an hour or so later, he sat up again and went to the shower. He brushed his teeth in front of the mirror and took his shirt off. He looked back at his shirtless reflection and his eyes lit up. Tonight, he had a little round pot belly, where it was normally flat. There was still some muscle definition there, it just looked full. He turned sideways and saw it protruded slightly away from his frame. "hah. If only Carla could see this. What would she say?". He instantly realised. "she might. If I was Fat Freddie."

Red rushed through his shower, rinsing and rubbing down is swollen body and quickly shampooing his hair. He dried off quickly and got back into his boxer shorts. Slouching in the sofa, angling the camera at his stomach, he tried to find the best angle to show it off. He found a good angle, taken slightly from below, which emphasised the size of his swollen stomach, without showing his face. Going onto Feedist Life he uploaded the picture and captioned it "yummy pizza *smiley face*" and saw it displayed next to his beer bloated belly from the other night. He couldn't tell if there was any noticable change as the first one was taken from a straighter angle, but he knew he felt better this time.

"Now, the forum."

"lol Sofi yes I did! But I panicked after seeing he'd been snacking all day and got my story wrong. Now he probably thinks I'm up to no good! Argh! I cant do it to him again just yet." CarlaFFA1983

"damn. She did notice she acted strange!" Red started typing a reply again

"Nah, you're in too deep now! He probably thinks you want to stay in his good books to help out with tech stuff whenever you need it. I'm sure he doesn't mind lol." FatFreddie

Only a few seconds later she replied.

"Yeah! You're probably right Freddie. Maybe he thinks I pay all techy nerds with cake. Lol. Will keep it up." CarlaFFA1983.

Red felt relieved. She was defiantly noticing him. "I wonder what the end game is... For both of us." He was about to log out when he spotted another notification. "One member has commented on your pic." He opened it up.

"Yup, pizza does good things x" CarlaFFA1983.

And with that, he went to bed.
