Traumatic childhood tended to do something to a person's psyche.

Arjun became more and more machiavellian. Due to family environment and social problems, he couldn't develop his athleticism and academic intelligence in this crucial window of adolescence, so he turned to developing practical skills that help him escape one day.

Instead of focusing in school, he read books on how to hustle, survive, dominate others. He hung out with shady characters, to sharpen his mind, his street smart, through battle of wit and will. Everyday he tried to live on edge, and challenged his parents any chance he got.

Every time he was beaten, he got back up.

By 18, he started working for an Amish family, finally get the nutrition he needed from farm's produce and strengthen his body through hard labor.

Soon, he would combine scamming and business skill to build his empire.

Joanna, on the other hand, was living her ever better life, going to places, meeting elites of the society.

She already forgot how she laughed when boys made fun of Arjun. As far as she knows, she wasn't part of the bullying, but the boys were just so funny.

Needless to say, she didn't even add Arjun on facebook. A high status girl like her won't jeopardize being associated with a creep like Arjun.

Wait! Creep? This was how the bullies in school managed to find the excuse to bully Arjun. You see? If you were mean to an Indian immigrant kid simply because he wasn't one of us, that would be racist.

There must be reasons why we hated him right? So creep he was! He was just creepy to girls we knew it!

This made Arjun knows the world isn't fair. There was no divine destiny, no mother universe, no God. Maybe there was God but He seemed to let evolution takes its course.

The more Arjun thought like this, the more strategic and logical in his approach to everything.

Soon he developed the skill to observe and dissect every person, process, system, and use this skill to formulate plans to get everything he needed.

Arjun struggled with low self esteem, but the main thing that kept him going was his huge ambition. He knows it seems unrealistic to get his revenge on his tormentors, but all the books he had read- the autobiographies of cult leaders, seducers, business men, investors, con artists assure him that if he is patient, he could accomplish it all.

He studied pimp intensively. He was planning something impossible. He knew if he puts his mind into it he could probably enslave Joanna, and imprison her with her own fat.

Turning a goddess like Joanna into her personal pet pig has been one of the things that kept Arjun sane all these years.
