Chapter 6 - big love

We go clothes shopping together. I no longer fit into anything in straight sized stores anymore. It's strictly the big girl stores for me. It's weird to be leafing through the sizes at the smaller end of the rack, though not, to be sure, the smallest sizes there. Magnus heads to the big and tall men's store.
The fall follows the summer. Magnus has been sleeping over most nights, and finally we decide that he should move in with me. It's a squeeze getting all his stuff in, but it's exciting, too. We cook a great big ham supper to celebrate, with all the trimmings. We stuff ourselves like pigs. We've been together for just over a year.
Of course the holidays are a time of excessive eating for everyone. The sweet little roll of fat above my belly button expands into a proper upper belly. Magnus' belly droops down and pushes outward at the same time. We gorge on Halloween candy, Thanksgiving turkey and Christmas cheer.
It's New Year's and everyone I know is resolving to lose weight. Curious, I step on the scale one morning.
277 pounds. The scale only goes up to 300.
"Wow," I say out loud.
"What is it?" calls Magnus. I open the bathroom door.
"Oh, I just weighed myself," I say. "I've put on over 65 pounds since we met."
He wraps his arms around me and kisses me.
"I wonder what I weigh," he says after a while. "But I don't think that scale can tell us."
After work Magnus comes home with a new scale, a heavy duty one like they have in doctors' offices. He steps on it and looks down, but he can't see the display. I bend down to read it for him.
"What does it say?" he asks.
"What did you weigh when we met?"
"Around 285," he says.
"This says 343," I say.
"Wow," says Magus.
He presses his huge gut into my ample backside and rubs.
"Let's ***," he whispers.
It's not as easy as when we first did it, but I'm already wet just from thinking about the numbers. Our bellies grind together as I straddle him. He is my big handsome man and I am his big beautiful woman.
"Now let's go have a little snack," I say.
