Led Astray by Him

Chapter 1 - Eric Coyote and Samantha Kunekune

Eric Coyote (of the Eastern Coyote Clan) often found himself thinking about Samantha Kunekune (of the Kunekune Pig Clan). Not because she was pretty nor because she was smart, although both of those things were true.But because she was getting in his way.
Eric and Samantha were both students enrolled in the Melton University Law School. He always came in second to her in their department exams. No matter what he did, he could never beat her. So he decided to take another approach and began watching her.
Known for being cute, slow and docile; the Kunekune clan was known for evolving with no natural predators and being a little...slow. The fact that a Kunekune pig was overshadowing him in law school was ridiculous.

The Eastern Coyote clan is known to be a sly, opportunistic type, and true to his nature Eric was willing to do whatever it took to come in first place.

So the coyote classmate followed the little pig around on her daily schedule, looking for secrets. Even if he did think relatively little of her animal type, he had to admit that she was cute. With curly brown hair and an albino spot on her right side giving her hair a silver streak and a pale eye. She was curvy but not as pudgy as one would expect a pig-type to be. He realized from watching her how much she restrained herself around food throughout the day. He also realized that she was generally friendly and popular throughout their department. He decided to use this quality to try and befriend her.

Francesca had a lot to prove. She would be the first person in her family to go to university and it was her goal to maintain top place throughout her whole program. She dedicated almost all of her time to her studies, but what little time she did have for herself she spent worrying about her body. As far as pig clans go, the KuneKune were known to be cute but pigs overall were generally looked down on as lazy and sloppy. Francesca felt like an underdog, trying to prove that pigs were capable of more than people thought. Francesca's parents owned a restaurant and they loved her very much but they wanted her to take over the restaurant and they were always trying to feed her so after her bachelor's degree she decided to move out on her own for law school.

She studied so hard and scored so high that she naturally became popular for study groups and quickly found herself in several active group chats. But through the high of good grades and popularity, remained the insecurity around her body. Constantly watching her weight and counting calories, she never really allowed herself to relax around food. It was true that pigs were a bit indulgent by nature and liked to eat and lay around. She had been fighting against this instinct for so long that it almost felt like second nature. Almost.

Then she met Eric from the coyote clan. She had never met a coyote-type shifter before. He was tall with broad shoulders and thick brown hair, and she would often feel her heart in her throat when he walked by. There were other handsome boys at school, but Samantha never paid them any attention. She was always focused on school after all. But for some reason, she just kept running into Eric. At the library, at the cafe near campus, at her bus station. He just kept popping up and every time she would look at him, it would seem as if he had already been looking at her. She thought there was no way that he would like her, pig-type shifters weren't great marriage prospects and usually married within their own breed.

But then the day came that he decided to approach her and changed everything.
