Sam and Tom get out of the car and begin walking up the cobblestone driveway. Finally reaching the door, Sam stares at the doorknob in a moment haze. Her mind a flutter, the spring breeze humming with life as she stared blankly into space until her boyfriend Tom interrupts- “everything alright?”
“Yea .. yea-“ Sam responds trying to sound causal. She knocks on the door. “Hey happy late birthday” Sam and Tom shout in unison as if they spent the ride here practicing it. Jerry and Tom shake hands and say hi. Sam talked about how nice the garden looked out back with the flowers nearly creating the fence in the back. Sam and Jerry knew eachother because theyd been long time friends. Never exactly interested in eachother but they stayed in touch for years
After a meal the group sits watching tv, Sam gets up to use the bathroom and after she gets back jerry goes to go himself. In the bathroom he sees Sam left her phone on the counter, he furrowed his brow and picked it up, at first not realizing whose it was. Suddenly a buzz


“is that it? I wanna see EVERYTHING. Take it all off” Jerry’s eyes went wide reading the text. Was Sam cheating on Tom? Fuckkk that bitch.. should I tell Tom ? .. maybe but I don’t know .. maybe I could have some fun with this.. Jerry’s mind went wandering. Soon there was a knock at the door, it was Sam. “H-hey I think i left my phone in there.. can I get it now… please.” She sounded desperate, worried I may find out.


Too late I thought. “Hey I got your phone here.. but let’s have a quick chat.” He said to her rather ominously. Her eyes went wide and shifted, as if she was going to start begging any moment but kept composed. “Hey Tom, Jerry’s gonna show me his garden real quick.. you wait here.” She said rather sheepishly as Tom gave a reassuring thumbs up and continued watching the movie.
The second they got outside Sam was starting to unravel- “pleasedonttelltompleasedonttelltompleasedonttel ltompleasedonttelltom”. She said like a machine, her brain too panicked to function.
