The Challenge

Chapter 1

"I am going to do this," Giselle said aloud to herself, summoning what little courage she had.

She gazed into the somewhat dusty, full-length mirror. A slim, elegant young woman looked back at her. As she dragged her eyes down her own body, she noted how her loose tunic, baggy breeches, and light leather armor obscured what little curves she had.

Her chest, which was already practically nonexistent, looked basically flat underneath her breastplate. Her hips barely jutted outwards from where her pelvis was. And her ass...Well. Nothing much to say, there. Because there was nothing much of anything behind her.

Giselle had never been truly comfortable in her own skin.

Of course, her body had served her well so far in her life. She had been a mercenary-for-hire ever since she left the village where she grew up, so being athletic and lithe was a necessity more than anything else. On more than one occasion, she'd escaped near-death solely because of her agility. Being skinny made it easy to sneak through crowds, get through small spaces, and hide.

On the other hand, however, part of herself had always yearned for something else. Something different. A different life. A different body.

For years, she'd repressed that part of herself, that little nagging thing in the back of her mind that never seemed to die, no matter how hard she tried. For years she'd tried to convince herself that her desires were foolish and unrealistic. That she could live a fulfilled life without giving in.

But now, she knew there wasn't a point in denying herself any further. She was only delaying the inevitable. Ever since she'd learned that it was one-hundred-percent possible to obtain what she wanted, it had been the only thing on her mind. It was the only thing that could make her cum, in those rare moments when she had both peace and privacy.

The answer to all of Giselle's problems was so close by she could almost taste it on her tongue. It was literally just a short walk away-in the shady tavern nearby. She had been too exhausted to go there last night; after arriving in town, she only had enough energy to find an inn, take a quick sponge bath, and then pass out on the bed.

But she was definitely more energized now. Last night, after falling asleep, her dreams had been full of visions of possibilities. She couldn't remember everything, but she recalled little snippets-the sensation of growth, the feeling of heavy curves.

Giselle's heartbeat quickened. She took a deep breath.

With one last parting glance at herself in the mirror, she left the room, her destination clear.
