Chapter 3 - a scheme is hatched

Mandy sat on the couch with her ever-present earphones and a bag of potato chips for company, oblivious to the plotting just behind her. Jane and Lindsey were at the table, gloating over their 'fool-proof' plan.

"It's so simple. Mandy will pig out if we keep the place stocked with junk. We don't even have to make her. I mean, look at her now," Jane said, following with a cursory glance towards the couch.

"I know! And if we can get enough food in the house so that she gains, like, six pounds a week, we'll have our DFF in a month or two," Lindsey squealed.

After a bit more reveling in their superb plan, Jane and Lindsey ran to the grocery store. They did their best to find the junkiest of junk food they could. While it was true Mandy was a human garbage disposal, most of the stuff she ate at home wasn't the worst you could find. Knowing this, the twins discovered the stores private label snacks were actually worse than the name brands. Joyous at the thought of saving money and getting into Spazio's, Jane and Lindsey neglected to even put away the non-frozen groceries.

For Mandy, this is the worst possible thing to happen.

She ate. And ate. And...well, the chips, dip, and cookies just kept disappearing. Jane and Lindsey watched their expanding roommate's display from behind Jane's door, giggling.

"Eh-he, eh-he. This is going to be easier than I thought. And, and that's saying something," Jane said, positively giddy. Lindsey nodded her head comically in agreement. As more and more of the counter became exposed, Mandy's fate was sealed.

(Sorry for the short chapter, this section is important but doesn't fit the narrative theme of the other chapters. I am also typing this aside because all chapters need to be at least 2,000 characters long.
