If you stretch it just a little, it can contract back over time ... if you deprive yourself of course. But if you keep stretching it then it can't contract back that much.

Working at a grocery store in the midwest, I can confirm this. However, it could be possible that there are disruptions in the food supply chain. Certainly some workers who are in the food industry have been furloughed or laid off—we probably just haven’t heard if it. I bet if this continues for a prolonged period of time (~2-3 months) that there will be some shortages.
I suspect that the supply chain disruption is going to be minimal on food since most of it is domestic sourced. Most people are going to experience the Wuhan Virus much like a cold and go back to work no wiser.
The two issues with this virus is the impact on those already unwell, and in places with high population density (NY especially) it spreads so fast everyone gets it at the same time, overwhelming the hospitals.
In "flyover country" where most food is sourced and most manufacturing takes place, the actions the governors are taking is a bigger impact on production than the virus is.

I agree with becoming ... Dietary fat ... especially dairy fat is going to get you fat and jiggly more quickly, cheaper and tastier.
