One of the few things about getting older (65+) is one is almost expected to gain weight. I have put on nearly thirty pounds since turning 60 and I love my growing belly. I'm now fifty pounds heavier than when my wife and I got married.
I also like how my brief style underwear looks on a heavier body.

I haven't had the same experience as you guys, but since I have been gaining, which for me being old is so easy, I have found that being old, it is far more socially acceptable to be overweight/obese/fat as an older adult. I wasn't happy when I was an overweight (husky) adolescent. I always wanted to be slimmer. I gained more in college, then lost a lot of weight after college and was able to stay in shape (I was in the military reserves for 25 yrs.) until I retired from the reserves several years ago. I love having my growing belly (48" waist) though I'm still pretty active. Just some thoughts from an older perspective.

Enjoy the gain! I have been a subtle encourager for years. Since I retired, I have become an active gainer and I'm truly enjoying my growing belly.

Breakfast foods for me. Pancakes, waffles and French toast, with syrup, butter and bacon. I can really pack it in!

Several years ago I went out in public padded, not huge, just more belly and a bigger butt. I must have stayed padded for three to four hours. I also ate a meal padded that day too.

I have written a fair number of mutual gain stories, that posted and were posted on my old deviant art account. I don't know what the monetary reward would be. I do know that there are fat fetish story being sold on Amazon.
One issue which annoys me posting stories on FF is the selection for subject matter. There are many general topics given, but only two for gender i.e. "Male or Female" no mutual.

I try to describe in detail how under garments fit, mainly bikinis, especially on women, i.e. "a four inch roll of tummy fat bulged over the waist band of her bikini panty".
My male characters all wear briefs (as I do) to show off their gains.
