chapter 3
Madeleine had completed all kinds of courses from counselling to Indian head massage. To anyone looking at her CV, they were all aids to further her career as an complimentary therapist. To Madeleine, they were all a preparation for when she got married. She was going to bend her husband to her will, not the other way around.Throughout her short engagement to Tim, she allowed herself to be treated like a wet blanket. He resumed his previous lifestyle, but tried cutting down on the climbing so that he could come home to her. She knew he'd already cheated on her, more than once. She was determined to tame him. She would curb his wild ways. She would one day be in control. For now, she ignored his infidelity and got on with preparing for her wedding.
Her friends warned her again, told her about his indiscretions. She did not need their help. His indiscretions were all over the gossip columns. She stood by him. She would have her day.
The wedding was big and classy. Plenty of pictures were in the magazines and they all predicted the marriage would not last the year out. They portrayed her as a gold digger, out to financially ruin him. The divorce would last longer than the marriage. It would be bitter and very expensive.
Tim read out the paragraph as they sat down to relax the day they returned from honeymoon.
Madeleine took the magazine from him and threw it on the floor. She sat astride him and kissed him. What did they know?
She made sure she had Tim's undivided attention, she got him aroused, but stopped before brining him to climax. She used her hypnotherapy voice to put him even further under her spell.
"From now on, you will always drink Coke instead of water." She said. Then she brought him around made sure he was satisfied with her services.
She'd bought in six cans of Diet Coke in preparation for this day. She left one can out on the kitchen bench, not sure whether her plan would work or not. Diet Coke was not what she wanted him to drink either, but she had to steer him away from plain water and this was the very first step.
The next morning, she prepared his healthy breakfast as he was in the shower. Sure enough the can on the kitchen bench was empty and another can was missing from the cupboard.
