chapter 3

Trudy saw a glimpse of a small group hanging out after the theatre. She was curious. She stepped closer to have a better look.
She saw two men sitting down. One was surrounded by a bevy of beauties, the other looked very gay and was being teased very provocatively by one of the club's drag queen artists.
Trudy watched. She was jealous. She wanted to get closer. She wanted the fit looking one with his hair in a ponytail. Only when he was with her he would not hold court like this. She would have to be the boss!
"I want you to get him for me" she took her brother. "He has to come alone with no entourage and he will submit to me!"
Ian was used to the strange orders she barked out randomly. But this new man looked like he might prove to be difficult. He looked confident around all those women. He did not need Trudy as well. This was going to be a challenge. He started to try and engineer a meeting between the two of them. Literally bumping into each other was a good idea, but a formal introduction would be better. He knew Trudy liked a bit of formality with her boyfriends. It gave her s higher status from the beginning.
She'd want to know everything about him.
'How long have I got?" He asked.
She smiled playfully, "this is going to be a good one. I'll give you a fortnight."
He nodded. Two weeks was double the time he usually got. She really did not want him to mess up. The last time, everything had gone wrong and her boyfreind had wriggled free. That was not going to happen again. Research was the key. And he had to start right now!

Surveillance. It was the boring part of his research, but absolutely essential. He followed him and a girl from the club home to find out his address. He tried to take covert pictures on his phone, but they were not good because it was so dark.
He drove home, quickly changed into less conspicuous, comfortable clothing and got into his mini. The car was great for nipping about in the London traffic and even though it was bright red, it drew less attention than his more expensive, sporty jag.
