Chapter 6

Kate was sitting on her bed, reading from her textbook. Jeff had a late class on Tuesdays, so she would use those evenings to get her studying done. She was going to school to become a teacher. Tonight, however, she was barely paying attention to the words on the page. She was feeling very full after her trip to McDonald’s with Jeff that afternoon. For some reason she couldn’t help herself and had really pigged out. She had gulped down three Big Macs and three large fries, not to mention the giant sodas that came with each meal. Jeff was nice enough to keep going back up to the register for her because she was too embarrassed to make so many trips.

Then, of course, there was the incident with her bra when they returned home. Over the last few days her bra had been cutting into her skin. However, it was the only bra she had that came close to fitting. She had bought it to act as her “fat” bra until she lost the weight she’d gained and could fit back into her old bras. She knew it was time to get a new one again, but she hadn’t gotten around to it. When they got home from lunch, she was feeling a bit queasy after all that food and was on edge a bit. She felt her bra straps digging in and was fed up with it. In a moment that she now realized was a bit of an overreaction brought on by her aching stomach, she ripped off her bra, ripped it and threw it in the garbage. As she now sat on the bed reading her textbook in a t-shirt and no bra, she acknowledged that she probably should have gotten a new bra before she destroyed the only one she had that still fit her.

While she read her textbook and thought about the day’s events, there was a knock at her dorm room door. When she opened it there was a thin stranger standing there. She looked like a Nike spokesperson, as she wore a Nike t-shirt and soccer shorts.

“Um, hi...” said the girl with a puzzled expression, as if she thought she had the wrong room. “I’m looking for Kate?”

“Hi. I’m Kate. What can I do for you?”

The girl looked surprised to hear that this was Kate standing in front of her. “Oh, hi. I’m Megan.”

“Nice to meet you, Megan.”

“You too. Um, I don’t know if you heard, but the school is starting an intramural soccer league. Each dorm is gonna put together a team of girls and we’re going to play the other dorms. It’s not a real school team or anything, but it should be fun.”

“Oh, cool. No, I hadn’t heard about that” said Kate.

“Well, I’m the captain of this dorm’s team and I heard from some of the other girls that you were an awesome soccer player in high school. I was wondering if you wanted to be on our team.”

“Wow. Yeah, I would love to play soccer again” said Kate excitedly. “I miss it so much.”

“Ok, cool” said Megan in an unsure voice. When she heard that a soccer superstar lived in her dorm, this is not what she expected her to look like. “We’re going to have our first practice tomorrow evening at 6 o’clock out on the lawn. I’ll see you then.”

“I’ll be there” beamed Kate. She was happy to get to play soccer again.

The two said their goodbyes, then Kate shut the door and jumped up and down in excitement that she was going to finally get to play soccer again. This would finally be a way for her to get back in shape, just like the old days. Even as she jumped up and down she could feel her big belly and chubby butt bounce up and down all over. She noticed her boobs were flopping everywhere and remembered that she didn’t have a bra now and would have to play bra-less. “Whatever” she thought, “I’ll just wear a tight undershirt and it will be like a sports bra.” She was too excited about getting to play soccer again that she didn’t want to dwell on the negatives. She couldn’t wait for Jeff to get home so she could tell him the good news.
