Chapter 5

I had been sick and tired of being single, so I decided to do the most desperate thing a single person can do: speed dating.

It was three days after my birthday and we had just gotten back from a band rehearsal. Tony asked me if I wanted to watch Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. I told him where I was going and he laughed.

It wasn’t like he usually laughed. This time it was cruel. Like I was a loser for trying to start a relationship through speed dating. He sat on the couch and started Snow White. I went to go and take a shower, feeling sorry for myself.

When I exited the bathroom and entered my bedroom I saw Tony sitting on my bed. The towel I had was scarcely able to wrap around my meaty butt and thighs. My belly was fleshy and hung in front of me. I quickly went over to my closet and grabbed my robe, which had also recently started getting too tight.

“Hi…hi Tony. Do you need something?” He looked at me with a passive expression. “Because I was getting ready to go and I had to get dressed…” I walked towards him on the bed.

“Do you think you’ll actually find somebody at this thing? Cause you’d only be kidding yourself, Bobby.” He stood up and walked over to my closet and pulled out a red shirt he had bought me recently. He said red looked nice on me. “I mean, am I not enough fun? Watching cartoons can get a bit boring, but I thought you were having a good time.”

He went over to my drawer and pulled out a nice pair of khakis, also purchased as a gift from Tony. He grabbed a black belt and a black pair of dress shoes. He laid everything out on my bed and walked over to me. I felt his hand slide into my robe and squeeze my belly.

“Bobby, if you haven’t noticed,” He pinched extra hard. “You’ve put on a few L-B’s.” He let go. “And I doubt speed dating will help you, so why don’t we just order a pizza like always and watch Snow White? It’ll be fun.” I felt my face go hot as tears filled my eyes. He was right; nobody would wanna be with me. He was looking out for me and didn’t want me to get hurt.

“You’re right Tony.” I said as a tear fell onto my cheek. “Let’s just watch Snow White.” He smiled at me and walked towards the door. I started putting the clothes away, my vision blurred by tears.

“I’ll order us a pizza. Pepperoni, just like you like.” He said gently before leaving the room.

I put on a pair of sweats and a t-shirt and joined Tony on the couch. The pizza got here right as the prince kissed her. She was a lucky girl, and she was only like 14.

I ate the pizza and Tony put on The Aristocats. I ate all the pizza. I went to bed depressed and hating myself.

At least Tony stopped me from making a fool of myself. I don’t know what I would have done if I embarrassed myself at speed dating.
